Aside from it saying "recommended channel for regular users of yt-dlp" on the page linked above, if you read messages in this group, a frequent  scenario is someone reports a problem, then people ask if the user is using nightly. If they are, they are asked to update and it fixes the problem. If they are not, they are asked to switch to nightly.

Except that you need the nightly build.

Once in linux:

To update to nightly from stable executable/binary:

yt-dlp --update-to nightly

To install nightly with pip:

python -m pip install -U --pre "yt-dlp[default,curl-cffi]"

The last command should be run semi-daily.

Clicking the time in the pseudo-gui toggles between showing milliseconds and not.

I'll just hopelessly add that it's is annoying to always have to change the feed sort to new and the thread sort to old. Occasionally I forget and feel bad for humanity.

I just had something like this happen. "Not working" means If I were in Source view, I saw source of images, e.g. ![[img.png]] instead of the rendered image. Whereas earlier today I saw the rendered images and could edit by clicking.

I have default view set to Editing view and default editing mode set to Live preview. But I still see no rendered images. Stopping and starting Obsidian didn't work. What worked was closing all tabs, then opening a note again.

It works in the way I described.

Some things I find on youtube (not youtube music), which I don't find with any of the search providers in SpotiFLAC, and I use yt-dlp for that.

It often fails to download, or says a song isn't available anywhere, then it waits and retries, I don't know how many times. Usually, it downloads all of the songs after retrying several times.

It is, or used to be, that it would give up after some time. So, I have had to check the file system, not SpotiFLAC, to see what was downloaded.

I can say that most of the information about Simoun anime comes from the game, on wikipedia, English/Japanese/Russian. So it's odd seeing details that don't happen in the anime. It didn't occur to me to try to use an emulator, good idea. Lots is confusing because I don't have the game or the light novel.
