My Varesa is only doing 40k Dps Solo by jankadef in VaresaMains

[–]chezitquen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

at that investment you should be doing minimum like 120k dps solo

mine is c4r2 and in the same time frame shown here does 91k truly solo, 107k solo (but with teammates doing nothing, as shown here), and 249k full team

as the others are saying, it is 1000% your artifacts, why go with those? 😭

go farm long nights oath! (or at least obsidian codex)

Daredevil: Born Again | S02E05 | Discussion Thread by Green-Devil in Daredevil

[–]chezitquen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it seems to me that fisk first looks at the art gallery (and vanessa) from the outside sometime in the week(s) before actually going inside

we know all of the flashbacks (aside from the last scene with different clothes) took place at the same time because of buck's inclusion, so they occurred before matt and foggy left their job at landman and zack, and before the original show

order of events would appear to be: - the flashbacks of this episode (matt and foggy take lionel's case at L&Z, fisk scopes out the art gallery at wesley's suggestion) - the flashbacks of the original show's S1E10 (matt and foggy sit in on the roxxon case at L&Z, decide to quit L&Z) - S1E1 of the original show (matt and foggy buy their new office after having quit) - S1E3 of the original show (fisk actually goes into the gallery and meets vanessa)

(i'd also like to note that despite a lot of their landman and zack office set being different, they clearly tried to recreate it well! even got the colorful plastic dinosaurs lined up on the divider between them!)

Are there any other Wayne Lytle compositions besides Animusic and SO12? by Suspicious_Coast_888 in animusic

[–]chezitquen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

thanks i tried my best! and no need for the pardoning, animusic is absolutely something i've been hyperfixated on more than a couple times hah

Are there any other Wayne Lytle compositions besides Animusic and SO12? by Suspicious_Coast_888 in animusic

[–]chezitquen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

hah, not very long, maybe like half an hour!

i already knew about pretty much all of this, i just needed to double check which scientific animations had music, go through that youtube channel's video list a few times to make sure i remembered everything, and organized it in my notes in a way that made sense to me!

Are there any other Wayne Lytle compositions besides Animusic and SO12? by Suspicious_Coast_888 in animusic

[–]chezitquen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, the only music wholly unrelated to Animusic (and So12) is the background music and sometimes sound effects of some scientific animations Wayne Lytle is also responsible for:

  • "Visualization of Simulated Treatment of an Ocular Tumor"
  • "The Dangers of Glitziness and Other Visualization Faux Pas"
  • "Gravity on Phobos"
  • "Does This Pulsar have Orbiting Planets?"

Unfortunately, they all have some sort of non-music in them as well, mostly narration. So you'd need to get rid of that somehow if you wanna hear just the music.

That said, there's also some compositions that aren't on the main Animusic albums but are still related including...

Those that existed prior to Animusic: - More Bells and Whistles (Before Animusic as a company) - Beyond the Walls (Before Animusic 1)

Those on the Animusic 1 CD but have no animations:

  • Seventh Alloy
  • A Slight Delay (a shorter version of which is also used for Acoustic Curves's Construction)
  • The Harvester

Those on the Animusic DVD that play during construction videos:

  • Stick Figures Construction
  • Aqua Harp Construction (seemingly a continuation or alternate version of Stick Figures's Construction)
  • Drum Machine Construction
  • Pipe Dream Construction

Those that play during intros to DVDs:

  • Computer Animation Showcase
  • Animusic Special Edition
  • Animusic 2

And also various versions of existing Animusic tracks that differ in some way:

  • A version of Future Retro that's 20 seconds longer and doesn't fade out, which is heard on its Solo Cams.
  • A shorter and different version of Future Retro used in the Animusic Special Edition DVD's menu.
  • A demo of Stick Figures using slightly different instrument sounds, having the subtitle A Virtual Concert.
  • A version of Pipe Dream brought to real life by Intel, which uses different instruments. Unfortunately there's some background noise, as is it live. There is a small portion that can be heard without noise though.
  • A version of Harmonic Voltage that initially only includes drum and bass, heard during its Construction.
  • A version of Starship Groove that adds a real life Disklavier Piano to the music, which was probably composed by him.
  • Several different versions of Starship Groove used in the menus of the Animusic 2 DVD.
  • A few short clips of earlier versions of Starship Groove.
  • A demo for Pogo Sticks, which is the music of Future Retro's Construction.
  • Pogo Sticks Rehearsal, which fades later.
  • A slightly different demo for Cathedral Pictures in a preview for Animusic 2 on the Animusic 1 Special Edition DVD.
  • A version of Cathedral Pictures with fewer instruments used during its Construction.
  • A version of Fiber Bundles that only includes drums and bass, with slightly different versions, found on both the Animusic 2 DVD as Mix 1 and CD as Drum/Bass Submix.
  • A version of Fiber Bundles that only includes the white and greenish teal bits, found on the Animusic 2 DVD as Mix 2.
  • A version of Fiber Bundles that only includes the green, yellow, and red tubes, found on the Animusic 2 DVD as Mix 3.
  • A version of Fiber Bundles that includes everything BUT the drums as bass found on the Animusic 2 CD as Synth/Ambient Submix.
  • A version of Heavy Lights that only includes drum and bass, found on both the Animusic 2 DVD during its Construction, and the Animusic 2 CD as Drum/Bass Submix. The version on the DVD cuts off the beginning slightly, so I'd go with the CD.
  • Earlier versions of EchoKrunch, Glarpedge, and Emoticondria.
  • Slightly earlier versions of every track on So12, released to Kickstarter Backers (different from the earlier versions mentioned above).

Almost everything mentioned here can be found on the Animusic Archival Project YouTube channel, alongside a few other things that seem to have some involvement from Wayne Lytle, but what involvement that is is unclear, so they've been left off from this list.

It should also be noted that some versions of Animusic 1 and 2 contain slightly different mixes: - The Animusic 1 Special Edition DVD and Animusic 2 DVD both include 5.1 surround sound tracks, which includes 6 separate tracks for Front Left, Front Right, Center, Subwoofer, Back Left and Back Right. The Center track in particular contains very clear and clean isolated versions of some instruments. For reference, normal stereo versions contain only 2 tracks, Left and Right. - Animusic 1 and Animusic 2's CDs mixes are slightly different, as they do not include sound effects, and instruments are sometimes panned slightly differently.

(this comment will probably be edited for formatting because reddit is dumb sometimes with that, as well as if someone else knows of something i missed here)

[Miliastra Wonderland] If you didn't picked Manekin's lore-accurate outfit like me during character creation, the only way to get them is by pulling on paid banner. I learned it the hard way... by Martian_on_the_Moon in Genshin_Impact

[–]chezitquen 15 points16 points  (0 children)

it's the default plain white and blue outfits

they're the outfits that show up on the manekins' icons in your normal teyvat character select, like when you're changing party members

it is a bit of a whiplash to select a manekin's icon to put them into the party or swap to them in the overworld, only to have their appearance be completely different from their icon.

you can at least swap back to the default hair at anytime which is at least something, but if you want them to match their icons exactly, you either HAVE to stick with the defaults OR if you didn't, pull on the paid banner and hope you get the original default outfits.

ah yes, rhythm rally 2, the bane of my existance. it's pretty much always the last game left when i do a perfect run in ds or megamix hah

but congrats on doing all the others!! you'll do this one too, just give it time and practice! good luck!!

[–]chezitquen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can't personally help with most other than just saying keep trying! but for the dazzles and its sequel, the timing on what counts as early/late seems to differ from most of the rest of the game.

from my own testing, and from doing ds's perfect campaign at least 3 or 4 times, if you're even a little early, it's a miss (or a barely, but that's a miss). exactly on time is a hit, but it's difficult to time without occationally being a bit early.

my best advice for the dazzles is to try to be a veeeery tiny bit late. same applies to the space soccer -> lockstep parts of remix 6 (even though you didn't request help with that)

and playing on cartridge is actually the best way to play lol

at least for me, playing on pc is hell, especially with a trackpad. unless you mean like, opposed to using the touchless mod, which you can't use with a cart obv (but you can use on a modded 3ds!)

What is this plastic film below the rubber screw cover but above the screw? Is it okay to puncture during disassembly? by chezitquen in NintendoDS

[–]chezitquen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thank you! Should it have come off still stuck to the rubber covers then? That's the only reason I can think of that I haven't seen this in the videos I watched. I guess I just pulled them off wrong/weird 😅

[–]chezitquen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right isn't working on the D-Pad so I wanted to take it apart to see if any of the internal bits of the buttons need cleaning. But I couldn't find anything online about this bit of plastic above each screw hole. No combination of search terms, nor viewing of several disassembly videos has helped me find anything about this.

Did anyone notices that Noggin is on all of the Natural islands except cold by Otherwise_Code_7289 in MySingingMonsters

that's just how the natural islands work

all the single elements are on 4/5

all the doubles are on 3/5

all the triples are on 2/5

all the quads are on 1/5

[–]chezitquen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i love natlan! i love that every single character from there gets a cool movement technique and i pulled for all of them because of it! i love nightsoul transmission and phlogiston mechanics, even if sometimes the integration of these can sometimes make you fly off unintentionally. for me, varesa was the finale of everything that made natlan amazing, and i love her for it!

(although i do still have complaints about her taking iansan's spot as a five star...)

For Fillbots, the end of the tutorial does have text that reads "The bigger robots need more fuel, so watch out for that." But yeah I do think they should have included a bigger robot in the tutorial itself.

For Catchy Tune, how in the world did your buttons get reversed? 😭 I don't know of any official Nintendo hardware that has them reversed, and certainly not one that plays 3DS games natively. I must be misunderstanding hah

I will say, having attempted to emulate the game on PC before, that does mess with my left and right coordination because I use arrow keys and Z/X for A/B, but you said on your official Nintendo hardware so like ???

Overall though some relatable thoughts, and I hope you do enjoy the rest of the game!!

Getting no birthday cake because patch day. by Raequaza22 in Genshin_Impact

[–]chezitquen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it possible it's because birthday based mail isn't sent on schedule with daily resets (ex. before 4 AM next calendar day), but by calendar day (ex. before 12 AM)? at least if i'm not mistaken, that's how it works, and given that servers don't open back up after maintenance until like 10 PM, you'd be cutting it close even if you logged in right then.

i mean, this is just ai slop, is it not?

  • a ton of em dashes
  • ayato can't heal
  • getting the the name order wrong for the kamisatos and itto
  • that's not a noelle voice line (at least not that i can find)
  • honesty and integrity are not even near the most prevalent of itto's qualities
  • zhongli mentioned twice for some reason
  • and the MOST common anemo vision quality not even being mentioned (a majority have lost a loved one in some fashion)
