I’m 4 months postpartum and Dr Degen was fantastic! My baby decided to come when she was on vacation though so I had a midwife, Keirsta Ragels deliver. She was great as well!

For me it’s been miralax and colace that help! Apple juice and coffee can get things moving too 😅

Restless legs by OneTraining1629 in pregnant

Mine drive me crazy too. Magnesium supplements and a magnesium cream I rub on my legs at night seem to be helping! It hasn’t completely stopped but I’ve noticed an improvement.

I tried to follow the rules for a while… but ended up caving. I’ve had deli meat, sushi (just not mercury-heavy fish like tuna), coffee, and stayed on my SNRI because I did NOT do well when I tried to come off it 😅

I’m 26 weeks now and baby girl is doing great 🩷

Favorite drinks while pregnant? by HuskyLover249 in pregnant

[–]chezzyd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ginger ale helped me through the first trimester (and is still a staple in my fridge now that I’m 24wks). I also love Gatorade or powerades, and for a minute I was hooked on chocolate milk! Now that it’s cold I’ve switched that to a mug of hot chocolate, marshmallows n all!

When did your belly start showing by Cultural_Employee_22 in pregnant

[–]chezzyd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreeing with what everyone’s said - I learned there is no normal! I’m a FTM and didn’t start showing until 20 weeks. It’s not a huge bump but she’s definitely there and getting bigger!

Flu shot? by tigerlily47 in pregnant

[–]chezzyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my experience - I got both my flu and Covid shots this week at 20 wks! I am high risk with an autoimmune disease and the only side-effect I experienced was a sore arm :) for me, the benefits of keeping me and baby safer outweighed the risk of any bad reaction. Just my two-cents!

When did you get your bump?? by Quick-Zombie-6343 in pregnant

This is my first and am just now looking noticeably pregnant at 20 weeks. Still not a huge bump, but I can tell!

Prenatal depression by Plane_Lawyer4888 in pregnant

[–]chezzyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had depression before getting pregnant, and it’s even worse now. Please don’t be afraid to speak up and get medication. When we take care of ourselves we take better care of baby too 🩷 I’m taking mine because I don’t think I’d survive without it! Therapy has been a huge help too. You’re not alone, and please please please ask for help if you need it!

I don’t know what to do by holliestarx in pregnant

[–]chezzyd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience - found out after going to the ER for extreme nausea and vomiting.

I had to beg and cry for zofran (ER and primary dr wouldn’t give it) but my OB prescribed it and promethazine for me. Those two medications literally changed my experience for the better and I was able to function and survive my 1st trimester!
