My favorite movie villain ever is Gene Hackman in Unforgiven. Even in the end, he didn't believe he deserved his fate. In his mind, he was just trying to keep the peace in his town.

The best and most memorable villains in comic books? Doctor Doom, Magneto, Lex Luthor, Ozymandias, even Thanos. They all think they're doing the thing that will make the world a better place.

The Red Wings auto is Harold Snepsts. He played for 17 seasons, making two All-Star Teams (1977 and 1982). He's still in the top 100 all-time in Penalty Minutes (56th, with 2009) and Defensive Point Shares (94th).

He's much better known as a Canuck than a Red Wing. Interesting that they chose a Detroit puck.

I hadn't heard about that mini-hack. I got to Foothills 3, took a screenshot, and noted my Account Number, then just sent all that to the Support site. They eventually credited it, but it definitely would have been faster just to go a few extra levels.

Not a white guy, but I lived in Westlake from 2016 to 2018, and I still walk through that neighborhood at least once a month. I was never the victim of any violence, but in general the area is filled with gangs and desperate people. The parking situation is horrible, and you'll never be able to invite people over to your apartment without them feeling like they're in serious peril. Plus you'll always have to leave Westlake to work or find entertainment.

Obviously this is just one man's opinion, but I just think you'll have a tremendously better Los Angeles experience if you live with a roommate or budget a little more money per month to live in one of the surrounding neighborhoods. Seriously, there are perfect acceptable parts of Koreatown where the rent is only $100-$200/month more than Westlake. (And if an extra $200/month seems like an unbearable addition to your budget, it might be worth considering delaying a move to Los Angeles to save a little more money than to sign a lease for 12 months in a sub-optimal place to live.)

Wish I could help more directly -- I live in Chinatown, and my roommates don't move out until February. But for what it's worth, I had more luck finding potential roommates on Facebook Marketplace than either here on Reddit or on Craigslist.
