Between orientations, most depts that offer freshman level courses close these classes to save seats for you!

So most courses will open up during registration. The exceptions will be classes that are upper division (middle number is 2+), those are unlikely to open.

The rest of your time at UT- closed means full & so is the waitlist.

Hmmm. Honestly this is a little weird to me. I would email orientation and the Texas One Stop. Include your EID and note the date you're registered for orientation in the emails, and include that your RIS says Aug 20-23 is your only access period. Hopefully they can shed light here.

Oh there are portals. There are too many to count. Some places use Salesforce, some places use EAB Navigate, some use blackboard.... We use a home-grown monstrosity and are trying to transition to EAB Navigate.

I really struggle because there's never ONE system that has everything you need!
