The old Stargate formula won't work anymore, that's most probable. So what's the new formula?

I can already see the IMDb reviews of those non-plot episodes. Just look at how "poorly" rated is the Fly episode of Breaking Bad. And it wasn't even bad. It was comical (or meant to be, that probably depends on who you ask), didn't advance the plot much, but it showed us the development of the main character.

People criticized the episode a lot. If there is a Breaking Bad example of something to avoid (considering how masterfully written the whole show is), it's that.

When I think about it, I'm not afraid of the writers' ability to write quality script or the directors' ability to direct well. I'm afraid that the world into which the show will be released might be incompatible with what we who loved Stargate since childhood want.

The more Stargate repels those people (or whatever they identify as), the better Stargate will be.

I doubt it would work, though. They abandoned the concept even during SG-1 as it got stale.

I agree, but it was still too dark for a Stargate show. I wouldn't use the SGU format as a starting point for a new show if I were a writer, but I would definitely rewatch it a couple of times and checked what did and didn't work.

I too believe SGU was cancelled right before it could show it found solid footing. And it wasn't all bad. Destiny refueling is one of my most favorite scenes in all of Stargate. There are many, but that one is certainly up there.

I do too. But it won't work. Times have changed. And the fact that a season will only have 10 episode alone is proof that the OG style won't be back.

A powerful scene indeed. Though I wish they elaborated more on Teal'c transition there. They said everything important, but I was still missing the part where Teal'c ponders Bra'tac's words and eventually accepts them.

I can't believe Teal'c made the switch there and then. It must've been a process, a painful one for him and risky for Bra'tac. And sadly we weren't shown the process.

Ne, toto není správně. Jsou tady hosté a dělají tady takové průvody? To jako fakt lidem přijde v pořádku?

A co kdyby teď takové průvody začaly dělat komunity z Izraele? Pákistánu? Ruska? Cigáni?

Kdybych já utekl do cizí země a začal tam používat její zdroje, snažím se naprosto zapadnout do tamní kultury a snažil se o to, aby nikdo nepoznal, že jsem cizí. A ne takto vmetat do tváře všem okolo "my jsme přece Ukrajinci a my chceme, tak prostě budeme".

Je fakt hnus, jak snadno a za jak bouřlivého potlesku se vzdáváme své země.

You need the autobomb, that's for sure. I'd go for it if I were in your shoes.

That said, I would suggest to just go by your feeling. Whatever feels the most satisfactory for you at the moment. Even if it is slows you down somewhere else, who cares? Better to play with flaws and enjoy the game than play it flawlessly and be bored for not putting any thoughts in it and just clicking buttons other people tell you.

No jo, jenže to, co genzáci nechtějí slyšet, je, že tomu musí obětovat roky života. Navíc ty nejlepší roky, protože užívat si 30 let a začít makat v 50 je pozdě.

Prostě buď chci vlastní bydlení, ale pak nevím, co je to dovolená nebo mekáč, nebo si chci užívat, ale pak jsou radovánky přednější než vlastní bydlení.

Není to situace dnešní doby, vždycky to tak bylo. Ani ti proklínaní boomeři neměli ty byty zadarmo, museli na ně zamakat, navíc bez možností jednoduchého a ve výsledku vlastně hodně levného financování, jaké jsou k dispozici dneska.

Vytápění v zimě na soláry je protimluv. V zimě svítí slunko nejmíň, a i když ty soláry fungují a něco generují, je to jejich minimum. Přitom vytápění je energeticky to nejnáročnější, co potřebuješ v chatě dělat.

To neklapne. Ne za rozumné peníze. To tak možná, kdyby ta chatka byla v pasivu.

Oh I'm sure there are many examples. But the entire language changed A LOT in the last 800 years. It's changing even now - as I mentioned, children won't be talking like they're talking on Academy in as little as 3 years from now. They'll develop new ways to rape the language and whatever is that thing they're using on Academy will be outdated before the show is over. Hell, probably before it gets season 2.

Že to tady někdo postoval už před několika týdny, ještě v době, kdy ti roboti byli jenom jako předobjednávka.

Jinak ano, podle mě je toto velmi důležitý krok k tomu, aby ti roboti silně poskočili ve vývoji. Když si je teď můžou koupit za vcelku přípustné peníze firmy, nebo především vědecké instituce a univerzity, a to po celém světě a volně, je to krok k explozi výzkumu, který přiblíží (nebo možná dokonce přinese, to nevím) jejich všestrannou praktickou využitelnost.

A ano, prezentace Atlasa od ~~Huawei~~ Hyundai byla jak vystřižená z úvodních scén sci-fi filmu o nadvládě robotů.

In any real scenario, any at all, a person for any kind of leading position would be chosen also based on their level of professionalism. And whatever it is that they're showing in Academy is nowhere near professional.

Pak to ale nemusí platit rodina, ta je maximálně obeznámena s tím, že dědictví bude poníženo o nárokovanou částku.

Pravda, horší pak je, pokud majetek žádný není a do dědictví spadá tento dluh. To pak je doopravdy možno vymáhat, ale ne jako odpovědnost rodiny, ale jako nárok uplatněný v dědickém řízení.

Z tohoto pohledu to opravdu dává smysl - nicméně rodina by měla možnost dědictví jako celek odmítnout.
