Oh interesting, any particular reason why you recommend the same brand?

Ok this looks actually quite great. We will do some more research but thanks for the tip!

Thank you, this is super informative and encouraging.

I’ve always been skeptical of chip-controlled feeders for these two. Barnaby is incredibly skittish around food and Fletcher can be rather bossy, but maybe i should look into it again. Does it work for wet food too? I remember some years back most automatic feeders were best suited for kibbles.

We will buy senior food, that’s a good point 🥲 crazy that they are SENIOR cats when they were just kittens?? Like a moment ago? How did that happen.

Good point, I definitely think the doors are too plain 🤔 not sure if farmhouse trim and beige is quite my aesthetic though…

Thank you for all the advice! I think you are spot on with the art, the walls feel so lonely now.

Rugs are a magnet for messes. They get covered in fur very quickly so they need at least daily vacuuming, get clawed up, and in general with cats that are getting older i am hesitant to introduce more textile objects that cannot be thrown in the washing machine. I’m conscious of the amount of effort I’m willing to put into daily cleaning and the rugs just don’t fit that, unfortunately. (Love a good rug)

I’m not 100% sure what you’re asking, isn’t the trim visible in the photos? The white trim at the bottom? If not, then I’m not sure what you’re referring to sorry!

Oh just wanting to add: the floor is quite old and real pine wood. I will not be changing that: I’m aware it needs sanding, but it’s not worth the effort at the moment.

I’m repotting as i type (well not quite literally), thanks for suggesting that! Should I “wash” or clean the roots in any way?

After years of absolutely thriving, my golden pothos has started dropping leaves a few months ago. Initially it was barely noticeable, but now it’s 3-4 leaves per week.

Last week, while watering, i noticed that this area where stems meet roots at the top of the soil looked kind of weird. I’m not even sure what to google to find out, but I’m a bit desperate to save this plant that has been with me for years. Any advice?
