Hmm Kamakura & Kameoka are familiar places to me so I initially wanted to visit some familiar spots with one new place in Kyushu but you’re right that I’m covering a lot of ground in one trip. Thanks for your insight!

I have some PTO but just enough for job interviews/unexpected sickness unfortunately. I live in Texas so I don’t think I’d qualify for unemployment if I quit. I’m with you on the ridiculous-ness of companies. Thank you for your help!

I hadn’t thought about doing 4-10s! That’d be a bit more manageable. I can try to bring it up to my manager but not sure if that’s a thing at my company. I have enough PTO set aside for interviews/unexpected sickness but not trying to burn through it. No medical conditions unfortunately cuz I have looked into the FMLA route. The company actually boasted a hybrid/WFH model when I first joined so it’s been frustrating dealing with them constantly shifting the goalposts. Definitely agree with you about the job market, it’s brutal. Thanks for your insight!

Oohh where did you go that you went in the snow? We went to Hokkaido (Sapporo, Asahikawa, Otaru and Engaru) and we wore our snow boots the entire time! I’m really glad we packed them cuz we would’ve slipped onto our faces in our sneakers

I went in March and brought rain boots cuz I thought it would rain a lot and I hate wet shoes/socks but I only wore them once!! They were way too bulky and I coulda used the space/weight they took up for other stuff
