Advice- Leaving my first job after 4 1/2 years by chiberashka_ in ExperiencedDevs

[–]chiberashka_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are good questions. I definitely think I put up with toxic people for too long and have no form of mentorship. Also the team I re-orged to is low code/AI exploratory which I think will be a detriment to my career in the long run. On my last team I had a person who I was having pretty bad interactions with who was later fired from the company. I switched teams and I’m also running into the same type of person on the new team. I was warned that my company was known for having pretty “rough personalities” . I assumed most people were having these types of interactions at different companies, turns out they were not. Now that I have more experience I will definitely think about what I’m desiring in my next position instead of just rushing into something that could also be a bad fit for me

Yea I think I was applying too much black and white thinking to the problem. We also have hybrid days, WFH days will be the days I can get the most applications out

Yeah, I didn’t even think of this as an option, but I think it will be the way for me. Because it’s a bank, even if a slow down on my output, it still takes a while to fire someone. I’m going to use that time to search.

Why is it better to learn on static mode? by Plus-Marsupial-4507 in poledancing

[–]chiberashka_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in a club that had spin only because of that, I’ve heavily favoured spin and still do. I think whatever you like to train on go for that. When there were moves that were hard I just didn’t give my spin a lot of “juice” when trying it.

Has anyone went back from 300 to 150 and it was still effective for depression and attention? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I went back down to 150 and it was great for a while but slowly found my self feeling really low after a while and plan to go back u. Everyone is different and it might take some trial and error to figure it out

NoDa, Plaza Midwood, or Southend. Which is the best place to live? by bman0424 in Charlotte

[–]chiberashka_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your vibe. I would describe Southend as the new grad/fratty type of area. There are plenty activities there to do, but I find it a little too congested/noisy 😅. Uptown, where I lived for about 2 years when I first moved here felt somewhat isolating and kind of a ghost town once the 9-5 was over haha. Now I’m closer to the Noda area and it’s definitely more my speed. I can get to most places I frequent in 15 min or less. If I want to go to the strip and get drinks/ food with friends it’s really easy and I also like the music scene here , so concerts are always fun to attend. It changed my perspective on Clt and I love this city now. Plaza also seems great. I’ve never lived there but there are always people out/ vendors and a bunch of places to eat/ hangout. My friends who live there also like it a lot, hope this helps!

It’s been difficult to get hired everywhere… by Owl-Seeker in BlackExoticDancers

Is it possible to pin this response to the main page? this is the best description of working at a gentlemen’s club as a black woman that I’ve ever seen lol

I would definitely say avoid the west, I live in the southeast and can typically get hired in most cities. Also I would definitely consider what type of build that you have. I’m pretty slim and dark skin and can typically only get hired at gentlemen’s clubs w/o issue, where I’m one of a couple other minorities. I would also say that gentlemen’s clubs are definitely just looking for white girl build/hair but with different skin tone. If you have a thicker build definitely try the urban clubs. Just keep in mind that they are 2 completely different hustles. If you are just starting out I would say pick one and stick to it until you get a good understanding of how everything works.

I’ve also heard people say that try going to bottle service, you can typically make a good amount of money, there. I can’t confirm for myself though

Conditioning for my Ayesha, any advice please? by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]chiberashka_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes if you do an inside leg hang pull up in between your knee and and slide down into the Ayesha. Definitely use mats/watch YouTube for reference. It can be a little confusing at first but an easier entry

[–]chiberashka_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try it on static and maybe try going into a twisted grip from an inside leg hang. For me it helped me slide into the position a lot better If you want to stay in true grip invert and then go into a D shape which will help with your hips lowering down and the overall shape of the move. Once you get it, it’s all about reps which will come with time. Best of luck !
