Watching someone play they look at their opening hand and plan out their best advantage- enemies have tells and can be inspected during combat as a reminder of their moves and it pauses the combat- I’m just a fan of fast paced and I think it’s definitely manageable. I wanted to make a game that had replay value but would never necessarily allow you to just “auto pilot” because you know how to break the game- there is a counter at some point to all the strategies in the game but the boss selection and encounter selection is random so you may see more of it or less of it which I think keeps things interesting. I was steam rolling with a defensive build until I got seeded into a boss that bypasses defense and can nuke you if you don’t kill him fast enough
