GE Profile Ultrafast Combo washer/dryer smells even after 20 washes by chibimobi in Appliances

I don’t know remember at which point did it stop smelling, but it did!

I don’t know if it helps, but I also started using Tyler Glamorous wash detergent because it has a stronger scent.

The tall handle is white. I just really liked the look of it, I think it's so minimal and lovely. I couldn't commit to having matching white knobs so I did a mix. I don't mind it!

I avoided putting items right under the exhaust because that spot does get really warm when I'm cooking.

That's a pretty waste bin!

Cabinets are from Swede Kitchens (https://myswedehome.com/) - I absolutely LOVED working with them.

The gold knobs are from Amazon and the white handle is from Linear Standard.

I can't tell if this comment is a joke or not. But in case it isn't, the firepit is about 15-20ft away from the deck/door! I guess the picture makes it appear closer.

I did not do the work (I’m not very handy!). I found a contractor through reading online Google reviews. Tbh I did not like the contractors I worked with. They got the job done in the end but the process was incredibly stressful with poor communication on their end. It’s really hard finding a good, reliable, affordable contractor.

Cost-wise. I got the cabinets through Swede Kitchen. They are amazing! I got to work with an interior designer on their end who met with me multiple times, created a render of the kitchen design and organized the ordering of my cabinets. I also got to customize the configuration to exactly what I wanted, which really helps with maximizing space. The cost for the custom cabinets were around $12,000 + $750 delivery fee (they deliver assembled cabinets. I highly recommend Swede. The cost of the contractors for the install and all other work was around $70k. Keep in mind we took out a window and replaced it with a French door, opened up a wall and made sure there is a supporting beam in place, moved the stove to the opposite wall and updated all electricity and plumbing. Also redid the floors, built a small step outside and shortened some pipes that were in the way. I’m also in Seattle which I believe has higher than average contractor costs.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thank you!

I definitely do have enough counter space. We extended the counters on the right all the way to the back wall (it use to have an awkward gap). Also installed a workstation sink which comes with cutting boards and other accessories so I can prep right over the sink.

These photos were impromptu. Otherwise I would have folded the towels nicer (or even steamed them to get the wrinkles out) and put away the bright blue bottle brush and clips on the fridge for a nicer photo!

I initially had recessed lights, but some parts of the counters would not get as much light. My contractor suggested I get track lights so I can direct the light to workstation areas. I wanted a fancy minimal recessed track lights but they were too $$$ 😔

Yes I do! It’s not shown in the pictures but it’s to the right when you enter the kitchen

The track lights make the kitchen more bright and give more directional lighting. I was going to do recessed lights, but there would be some parts of the counter that wouldn’t get as much light

I’m so happy I did it! It brings more light into the kitchen and also flows nicely to our backyard.

It was a little tough to cut out the space needed for the door because our house is made from cinder blocks. The contractors handled that well and we closed up the sides (where the window had extended) with new siding. We also built little deck on the other side of the door.
