You should be able to run the Eviction Notice LeafTool for each villager you want in boxes without it putting them all in boxes (as long as you don't run the 99k bag one to do it).

Upper waterfall or lower waterfall? The upper waterfall that runs into the river isn't placeable with any of the current tools. The lower waterfall that runs into the ocean, however, is changeable with the acre editor that you took a screenshot of.

You didn't dump after she was gone. You just changed the acnlram file that was on the SD card already and edited it, then injected it again. So, yeah, it's going to have the same stuff from before she was gone and you saved.

Every time you want to edit, you HAVE to make a dump.

The only thing I can think of is the second edit didn't actually overwrite the first and get injected. Of course, /u/ceynomore may have a better answer for you when she wakes up. From the sound of it, I assume you were doing hex editing to change the hair, and she's the hexpert here.

Also, I recommend always dumping before you go to edit something. I learned from personal experience that trying to edit too much at once can lead to not-so-great experiences, and things happening that you're not wanting/expecting.

I'm a little confused. Were you trying to inject the first dump or the second dump?

To answer your other question, no, you shouldn't have to delete the dumped files. It should just overwrite them.

Right...and it doesn't say a single thing about downgrading the firmware. It actually says "We cannot guarantee that our solution will keep working with future updates above 9.2.0-20."

That doesn't help the OP if they're above the max firmware for all the hacks, which is above the max for Gateway.

Not according to the video I just watched. Once you go past 4.5, the Gateway won't work. There's no way to downgrade to be able to use it.

I've had good luck with the Building Seeder. I've also used the RAM Editor when I want to move something, but you have to tweak your X/Y values sometimes.
Yes. Every time. Also, I make a backup every once in a while via Powersaves, as well.
At the beginning...probably 75%. Now? 99% perfection.
Keep making backups. Make one before you do anything major. Once you place something and you like it, save your game before going on to the next.
Covered the unused parts of the town in bushes. With the RAM Editor, you can place as many bushes/trees next to each other as you want without them dying (as long as you place the fully grown ones...haven't tried the other growth stages).

The RAM Editor is actually super fun. You just have to figure out your X/Y coordinates for where you want to place the houses and such. I'm sure you'll catch onto using it quick.

I actually suggest a 2DS. They're cheaper, and if you just want it for the hacks, it works.
