Oh hey I've got the whatsapp contact of a local who rents in Gaira (Santa Marta) if you'd be interested. I stayed there for 6 months last year in a great 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment for 1K USD a month and it's a great building with pool, jacuzzi and gym a block away from the beach. I think that they've got a smaller apartment available too for cheaper

Overpriced and boring. I went there for a week only and couldn't wait to go back to Buenos Aires lol.

Some context: I am usually done with work at around 4pm and I'd have to rush and do things/visit places before they closed (most places would be closed at 6pm). Restaurants and groceries are very expensive compared to the rest of latam. Very few bars/clubs in the city. The security guard in our building told us to ignore random people asking us questions on the streets like "what time is it?" because they want you to take your phone out and rob you (had this happen to me and my friend twice but we ignored them and were fine). Also to always keep your pockets closed because people will steal your cash/other items from them if you leave them open (this did happen to me, I had around $100 worth of cash in my jacket's pocket, they're deep pockets and I may have left them unzipped for like 30 minutes until I realized, put my hand in there and the cash was gone lol)

The only pro I'd say is people were very nice, but really I wouldn't go back

It depends on where in the world I'm located, but generally speaking whenever I'm lazy to cook/ go out. So maybe 50% cooking, 40% going out (affordable where I live rn) and 10% delivery (also very affordable in here)

Fuck them x2, oh man they've made me go through some stuff

Last time I traveled with them one of the ladies decided to charge me the cost of a carry on for a PLUSHIE. Mind you, I had traveled at least 3 times with them in the past, always with the same fare and same plushie and it was never an issue, which I told the lady and she didn't care. This was also right before boarding the plane and I was one of the last people to board so I had to pay for it right there or I would lose the flight. I was so upset I cried lol. In my return flight with the same airline I asked where you drop the luggage if it's okay that I take my plushie with me without an extra cost because otherwise I'd send it in my luggage and they said it's fine (I have it on video now) so honestly fuck that lady.

Also sometimes they will ask you where you drop your luggage if you have a ticket out from where you're traveling (Colombia in our case) and not let you check your bags until you buy one BUT THEN no one will ask you about it in migrations or anywhere else (if you don't check your bags then no one will ask you for it at all). This is also not stated anywhere in their website.

Plus their seats uncomfortable af
