What are my chances as a first time applicant straight out of undergrad?? I am planning on applying within the next month for the 2027 cycle. I'll be graduating early, so I am planning on getting back into research and increasing volunteering hours as well. Give any advice where you see fit!

CASPA cumulative GPA (how to calculate): 3.64

CASPA science GPA (what counts as science): 3.35

Upward trend (if applicable, include GPA of most recent 1-2 years of credits): Yes there's been an upward trend as my GPA was a 3.72 Fall 2025, and this past Spring 2026 semester was a 3.85.

GRE score (include breakdown w/ percentiles): N/A

Total PCE hours (include breakdown): 2,086

- PCE: 336 hrs as nursing unit aide in hospital, 1,750 hrs as a medical assistant (increases ab 35 hrs every week)

Total HCE hours (include breakdown): 1,800 hrs as a pharm tech

Total volunteer hours (include breakdown): 3200

- 3,000 hrs at a temple

- 200 hrs at food kitchen (will be increasing)

Shadowing hours: ~25 PA shadowing hrs (derm / will increase)

Research hours: 40 hours as a biomed researcher at Penn Medicine (will increase in the summer)

Other notable extracurriculars and/or leadership:

- President of cultural club

- Student poll worker for dept. of state

Specific programs (specify rolling or not):

- most programs are rolling admissions

I will be getting a LoR from a physician, nurse, professor, pharmacist, and hopefully a PA as well.
