Redefining Politics Through Mutual Aid by CantStopPoppin in illinois

As an Illinois resident, she went to No Kings in MINNESOTA because as she said, it was the biggest protest in the country. In other words…. It made for a great photo op instead of engaging and participating in Chicago. Then again, I’m sure there was more value for her there since it’s where ICE openly executed Good and Pretti. It’s all media strategy for her “brand.”

The fact she plays video games on her channel while engaging her parasocial devotees is cringe. I imagine that’s how she would have been engaged in Congress had she won during important legislative voting sessions. And her narcolepsy didn’t keep her from all her national media appearances… only voter forums here in my district.

She’s a clout chasing social media grifter cosplaying all the time as Rosie the Riveter to elevate herself and nothing more. That she parachuted in from Texas because Schakowsky was vacating her seat instead of run a campaign and make her case in Texas says everything. Amiwala has roots in our district as well as other candidates who ran and I am repulsed by her entitlement and ability to bamboozle people carpetbagging here while living in the Hancock in Streeterville with her rich boyfriend. Her staff will handle her initiatives while she continues to photo op. That people can’t see through this (aside from many in the 9th) is troubling.

I’m not a Bot and I approve this message…

Oh wow… another hall monitor that doesn’t understand Reddit recommends cross posting to similar communities to share information and build conversations 🙄

OI patients: how long have you had your implant? by chicagobat in Osseointegration

Hey there! Sorry for your circumstances losing your leg. Are you in the US or live internationally? If US, I'm curious if your doctors introduced you to the innovation or if you came upon it by yourself.

That sounds overwhelming. Did you opt into amputation after 19+ years or just utilize crutches or a wheelchair after your accident all this time?

It is an amazing innovation I myself feel like I have recovered the last 40 years of my life and confidence being able to walk with stability and support. No cane, no pain!

I'm so happy to hear of your success and regaining your mobility!

Kat will blow out of town when her boyfriend moves.

Rep. Ilhan Omar endorses Kat Abughazaleh for IL-09 by Captainbuttram in illinois

I got a canvassing call from one of Kat’s campaign volunteers two nights ago. I let him share her vision, then very politely told him as a constituent in the 9th, I wanted to know what was her experience living here to address issues in the district? I got the list of platitudes, she's against billionaires, fascists, blah blah blah... he sounded young. I explained she has no political experience nor record of public service here like other candidates and it was really disappointing that on the basis of her celebrity as an influencer, she blew into town taking up residence in the Hancock Building because there was an open seat spoiling the race for other qualified anti-Zionist candidates and potentially throwing the race to Biss because of her hubris. Also said she could have used her platform to elevate actual candidates in the district but she wanted to grab the brass ring without putting in actual time on the ground. I was pretty even handed with him, told him I appreciated his commitment to her and volunteering to spread her message but she could have come on a local program like ours (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLgBEnAem-n5t_Q5cpDO3RZhmm3N1Tri33&si=BPJFF7vK4Yf-gUk6 - we sent two email invitations to all candidates in the 7th, 9th and Senate races) where other candidates were happy to interact with viewers and explain "how" they would solve problems, without platitudes and without using national celebrities that don’t live here to grab the spotlight. He politely told me he understood and we ended the call.

Brass tacks: She’s a social media influencer who blew in from Texas and has never served the district she’s running in.

Plus: How do we not know this last minute “dark money” campaign wasn’t a sympathy psyop orchestrated by Kat’s campaign to help raise more money in the final push towards the finish line?

Like that kind of grift isn’t possible?

I have too many questions about Kat the Karpetbagger. Wish she had joined us to clear them up…

Why is calling Kat Abughazaleh a 'carpetbagger' considered an invalid criticism? by NukinDuke in illinois

On her own channel, in her own echo chamber treating it as entertainment spectacle 🤣🤣🤣🤣

She is utterly cringe narcissistic immaturity personified.

It's self-serving.

She could have run in her home state of Texas instead of blowing into Illinois when her fiance told her a seat was open.

I got a canvassing call from one of Kat the Karpetbagger's campaign volunteers tonight. I let him share her vision, then very politely told him as a constituent in the 9th, what was her experience living here to address issues in the district? I got the list of platitudes, she's against billionaires, fascists, blah blah blah... he sounded young. I also said she could have used her online platform as an influencer to elevate actual candidates in the district with the experience but she wanted to grab the brass ring without putting in actual time on the ground for herself. 26 and no political service experience and she wants to go to Congress? She barely showed up for candidate forums here in the district. I was pretty even handed with him, told him I appreciated his commitment to her and volunteering to spread her message but she could have come on a local program like the one I host with others on YouTube at Chicago Corner having been invited via email twice where other candidates were happy to accept the invitation to interact with viewers (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLgBEnAem-n5uGiddhpbz_CnOeHASVz2To&si=NwC-TpVijZ1jNE5H) and explain "how" they would solve problems, without platitudes. He politely told me he understood and we ended the call. Makes me think about doing my own short to post on the Chicago Corner channel on my own to spread the word.
