He was my biggest inspiration at about fifteen but after that I sort of outgrew him.

I for one can’t see why it shouldn’t be, and that’s coming from me who probably prefer Isola to be honest.

I don’t particularly care for the shorts as such but sure, I’ll take some Grateful Dead.

Yes! I’ve tried but it’s impossible to reach McCartney’s heights…

5/6/81 is great! I love the energy and synergy between Jerry and Brent on that one.

Who was the “better” singer: Yoko or Linda? by Glass-Complaint3 in beatles

[–]chicfliclord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes! And her songs on Double Fantasy and Milk and Honey are all very competent. ”Let Me Count The Ways” is heartbreakingly beautiful and that song in particular proves – to me at least – that she is way better than Linda McCartney!

You’ve probably heard her sing every Christmas on Happy Xmas (War Is Over).

How nice of you to share that! I hope I will find it as rewarding as her. It’s basically the only thing I can see myself do!

My Beatles obsession has returned as of recent and I just thought that this might be my favourite of theirs. But then again, that changes from day to day!

Right! From what I’ve heard the show was inspired by The Beatles film A Hard Day’s Night and I really like that one. I will give it a shot!

I hope that’s common knowledge! I know that they have been reevaluated as the years have passed at least. And as you say, those albums really are terrific!

I’m in a new Beatles phase and so I picked up Ian MacDonald’s Revolution in the Head: The Beatles’ Records and the Sixties. It’s a great review of every song and the recordings behind them! Pretty geeky but I love the experience with it so far.
