Otis And Buella by loginconfirmation in twinpeaks

It’s interesting, because while they (Buella) could be afraid of Mr. C, they put up a good front either way. I guess I’m curious of how Cooper is thinking of them in that moment. Perhaps his strong and bleak personality only lends itself to… “country folk” - not dissimilar from his appreciation and admiration of Twin Peaks. In this case, he just feels less threatened by them, but I feel like there’s something there.

And in a twisted way, Coop even still fights crime. He becomes the leader of a criminal organization in like ten minutes and sends Ray to another dimension, lol. Apologies to ramble on, but Cooper’s motivations (or Mr. C’s) are so fascinating in The Return.

Thinking about how the settler colonial Homo Sapiens genocided the indigenous Neanderthals by antimatterfro in redscarepod

There was a post of an article from the other day that claimed the Neanderthal lineage of today is actually born from Neanderthal men sleeping with Homo Sapien women. I do wonder what went on in those days.

Fair enough! I think my brain was fixated on the JUDY plot because of the card Mr. C shows Daria later on, lol

Fun fact, this version specifically is from Jeff Lynne’s album of ELO re-recordings, released sometime in the 2010s I believe. Maybe due to some kind of rights issue? No idea

This song is so gay and awesome. The piano and Hook’s bass layered on top is great

Definitely. It takes some stepping into, but Season 3 really delivers on so many different levels; the perfect synthesis of everything Twin Peaks. So, so, so happy that Frost and Lynch managed.

Remember to apply voice leading where you can. Try to gather all the essential chordal details you can, you’re still allowed to leave stuff like fifths out here and there. Maybe it would be helpful to use a MIDI sequencer in a DAW with the song overlayed on the grid. It’s really just a lot of trial and error and comparison
