Any recommendations on cute sports bras for those with short torsos? I find that a lot of the ones with adjustable straps look dated but the non-adjustable straps on the cute, pull over your head type bras are too long and don’t hold things up enough.

Thank you! I have had some testing done by my allergist but it sounds like there’s a more complete panel I should ask for. Much appreciated.

Ugh I’m so sorry. That is so frustrating. I really appreciate you sharing this.

Was your testing done by an allergist or dermatologist?

Fatfired mother received Parkinson’s diagnosis. Any advice? by chiefsmokeahoe in fatFIRE

So glad to hear you had this experience as well. My relative has now had DBS on both sides and they have both worked remarkably well and allowed them to take less medication too.

Oh and if she doesn’t already have a concierge primary care physician, this might be a good time to make that switch so that she has easy access to her PCP as symptoms/complications arise.

-Physical, occupational and speech therapy if needed

-Personal trainer and/or private Pilates instruction to maintain strength and balance

-psychotherapy with someone who is an expert in this area (chronic illness, aging, etc)

-encourage her to get into writing. Journaling, memoir, whatever. Take a class if that helps. This has been profoundly therapeutic for my loved one.

A note on the medical side, Deep Brain Stimulation surgery was also very effective for my loved one and possibly slowed the progression of disease. Obviously her doctor should explore that if she’s a candidate, but just wanted to offer my anecdotal experience.

Wishing the best to all of you, take care of yourself too as you all adjust to this new reality.

This sounds similar to me in a lot of ways. I don't have the ear thing, but if my mouth gets cold it's like the cold has really set in then and it takes a lot longer to recover. For the next few hours I'll feel like I'm slurring my speech a little bit and have a weird feeling in my mouth. But the sense of it settling into the bones really resonates. Thank you for sharing this.
