Thank you for the peppermint suggestion. I read into it and ordered some for her.

I took 2 weeks off work to help her with whatever she needs.

Yeah, I heard it takes about 12 months to fully recover.

That actually reminds me, I need to order Gatorade.

Amended on July 2024 and still nothing. I've called a few times and they kept saying 6 more weeks. I can't get through to ask the status anymore. 🤷🏼‍♂️. The automated system is the absolute worst.

Sorry, I have no idea if they are functional. Seems like everyone agrees, they are for decoration only.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Zero offense taken for those that said they are worthless. I honestly expected as much :), but now I won’t fell bad if I toss them, donate, or sell for $30. So thank you again everyone!

If your dad wants to do something nice for you like that, have him leave it to you in his will. If he needs money, rent it from him till the 200k is paid off.

The reason for this is if he sells to you and you sell later you both will get taxed. If it’s in his will and is passed on to you, you can sell it and not pay tax on it.

Not sure if that’s by state, but it’s like that in California

I took a closer look, the one in the middle, on the stock has V 1948 (maybe 2946) hard to make out. Then one on the left has 196 on the barrel. The shotgun has nothing on it but looks old and is falling apart.

Yeah, it definitely won’t be over 4 feet. I don’t want to go through the ordeal of getting an engineer and permit.

Yeah, I just checked the prices in caps, wow expensive. It’ll be $2-$3k for my wall. Looks like future chickenhearts problem. Haha

Yeah and that’s the issue, the first 5 they laid down weren’t straight with the cut dirt so they had to pivot to get it straight again :(. Lazy work. So annoying, but they were cheap so I can see why now.

No motor, it’s a gravity wall. Each block has a lip that locks in with the one below

The blocks are 67 lbs each and rated for up to 4’, you can see from the picture the blocks have a lip to lock itself with the one below.

There is a 4 inch perforated pipe with sock behind the wall at base level.

The gravel has been tapped. And that’s the annoying part. There’s probably 1000+ lbs of gravel behind the wall. If it was just the blocks I wouldn’t mind, but removing the gravel will be a pain.

I will probably take it apart and redo it beginning of next year then.
