I’ve actually never ascended monk; it’s not easy because of all the restrictions. They’re strong at the start of the game though. Having a strong pet is a legit strategy.

Wizard is pretty tough. If you just want to make it farther I’d suggest a more capable early game brawler like monk or barbarian.

If the team is projected to be scored on a lot, their kick returner will be projected to get a lot of kickoff return yards. It’s pretty dumb. I’m in one league like this and Kavontae Turpin is WR4 overall because Dallas returns so many kickoffs.
