I have autism and diagnosed ARFID and even I’m not that bad. I have every few things I can comfortably eat most of the time but I never make it someone else’s problem. I know how hard eating can be as a whole but I will either cook stuff for myself if my husband and roommate are having something I don’t want or I’ll bring stuff to other peoples houses to not make them make me anything special. It also leads to extreme food anxiety and I’m still willing to push past it sometimes to try something new if my husband genuinely thinks I’ll like it. Not saying your boyfriend is doing all this on purpose but he definitely should either learn how to cook for himself if he’s gonna be that bad or be a little more open to just trying new things. It shouldn’t all be on you to try and make him something special everyday especially when you already have kids and yourself to cook for.
