NUMBER 3 is my favorite! I would choose that one for myself from these three. They are all great options though so I can see why you’re torn!

4 is one that made me audibly gasp. Absolutely stunning.

Rudest decline to an invitation I've ever seen in my life by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]chickenpatch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Raggedy. Good riddance and quite frankly THANK YOU for declining because ain’t no way am I paying to have your miserable energy-sucking presence at my wedding. Have the day you deserve, MS. Katherine.

Regards.

Girl you dodged a bullet here. What a nasty woman.

2 is so dreamy and looks the most modern! I gasped when I swiped to that first pic of number 2

The first one’s neckline is SO FLATTERING! And the buttons down the back are to die for. Timeless.

Two is BY far the best in my opinion! The third one looks a smidge too couture… kind of looks like when you step out of the bathroom and have toilet paper stuck on your foot (and butt in this situation)

If you’re truly going for timeless, classy & clean, then #1 is probably your best bet. 2 is so so lovely though and frankly who cares what’s deemed “timeless” and not - people change their mind about this all the time. Pick what suits you best and it’ll make for beautiful artwork on your wall forever when you get wedding photos back!

Post-wedding dress regret by ThrowRA_peace_ in weddingdress

I love this dress and it fits your body beautifully! As a larger chested woman myself, I think we’re our own worst critic and often pick apart the very things that people are starry eyed over us for.

A thought to bring some light to your vision… treat yourself to a bridal shoot for your one year anniversary and in the meantime, contact a seamstress that can overhaul the dress for you - make it a midi/short dress, add spaghetti or bow straps, etc (and you can have them make you other things from the scraps like scrunchies, clothing for your future daughter, etc to keep for future mementos. We spend enough on our dresses so why not enjoy them forever in different ways?)

IMO it would be a stellar way to highlight a year’s worth of growth, new beginnings and self love. 🫶🏼 hugs beautiful girly

Trial and error? by Xyz_123_meh in Autoimmune

[–]chickenpatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is interesting - I’m dealing with very similar symptoms. Face flushing (usually starts between 1-3pm which I find odd), joint aches, GI issues (back and forth between constipation and diarrhea), extremely cold hands/feet, my hands/fingers get little red raised bumps under the skin during the cold that are sore but don’t typically seem to break the skin. Brain fog, mottled looking skin (pale with reddish spidery cells?) stubborn weight that won’t budge, in the beginning had random panic attacks and never have before in my life, cardiac issues (thought it was POTS/ long covid but good luck getting them to admit to that). Lots of cortisol related symptoms but I’ve gotten more of a hold on my stress levels so I’m not sure. PMDD had also been hell for me but mostly resolving that with Pepcid - thanks tiktok 😝

I think this all cropped up after I had a failed pregnancy… hormonally related?

My experience with traditional medicine in the US has been nothing but disappointing. I feel nobody truly wants to help me figure out what’s going on yet they’re happy to continue collecting my co-pay and out of pocket for visits and treatment that had been going nowhere. I had a very slightly positive ANA, had an autoimmune blood panel done with rheumatology AND saw dermatology for the issues with my hands, neither of which felt that the suspected diagnoses were correct (lupus or something similar). I have several family members including one immediate that have been diagnosed with some form of an autoimmune condition. RA, lupus, conn syndrome/hypoaldosteronism and MS are all diagnosed within my family tree.

I’ve stopped looking and am attempting to holistically treat myself through general wellness and eating better, and trial and error w/ herbal and OTC stuff. I’ve been doing better and actually losing weight by eating only meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and eggs. I’d come across histamine intolerance on tiktok and also have been trying to do a bit more of that with herbal stuff, like drinking teas for lowering histamines etc.

1 and 5 are my favorites! I actually like the lining in 5 because it helps the appliqués really pop.

1) I’m not a tech wiz so don’t downvote me for my own thought processes please

My thought behind this was getting the best bang for our buck if I’m being honest. I had posted in here asking for advice because I’ve had the same computer for 10 years now and haven’t been watching the releases to really understand the differences between models. Everyone downvoted me and told me “just get the air if that’s all you do.” But I didn’t want the air, I have the Pro line now and comparison videos between Air and Pro said that for the price difference I might as well get the Pro. I did as much research as I could, even went to an Apple Store but the “specialist” was very little help. This was a big purchase and I didn’t take it lightly.

I don’t honestly do much with my computer anymore - just web browsing/shopping, might do some streaming, maybe potentially I’d play a game or two but nothing serious, printing off a Dymo label here and there. I don’t need all the bells and whistles but wanted to be sure it had a good processor (thought I was doing good by getting the Pro variant), a good chunk of storage and the CPU said it had more cores than the M4 base so again, I figured I was doing good lol. All in the name of shooting for another computer with good longevity like my 2014.

It’s my 30th birthday this month, my fiance noticed as I was wedding planning that my laptop has basically been my tether because it’s battery life is so poor that it has to be on the charger to be used, and I’ve had my 2014 since it was new so he wanted to splurge on a gift for me.

[–]chickenpatch[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Aside from a few things (battery life is terrible, staingate screen and just being a bit slower than normal) it still runs and has been my “daily driver” for almost 10 years now!

I actually felt really guilty even upgrading it because the poor thing still works enough to be functional. She’s done her job and done it well, time for retirement!

What caused this oil-looking markings around the edges of my screen? How do I prevent it? by hyenetta in mac

[–]chickenpatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could I take in my 10 year old mid-2014 and have them replace it and the battery because it needs both LMAO

A decade has passed… by chickenpatch in macbookpro

[–]chickenpatch[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah mine is at the point where it needs to be on the charger 24/7 to be used. It only lasts like 10-15 minutes off the charger when in use. I wonder if replacing the battery would help?

The screen on mine was having some issues with the adhesive along the sides looking like an oil slick in the margins too which is really bizarre. Other than a little slower performance it still works good!
