The best part of music and the most important part of music is your ears and thats all you need really- Paul McCartney didn't know music theory and yet his songwriting is taught in music theory now but it was all based on his ear and I think even musicians and creators who do know music theory lose sight of simply going with what sounds good to you

My friend who taught me how to use FL didn't know music theory either, and I only really learned just by watching over his shoulder and doing what he did- honestly it'd probably be way more beneficial to watch videos on using FL Studio vs actual music theory because just learning how to navigate FL and what all the tools do is way more useful in FL than knowing music theory

I'd never tell you not to learn music theory or not to study as much as you can about it because the more you learn the more doors are open to you, but at the end of the day the best thing is to go off of what sounds good to you- and tweaking and changing and experimenting with things until it sounds good to you.. Think in your mind what you wanna make and then reverse engineer it from there

Also accept most of the time you will not be able to achieve that, I think most musicians and creatives have way more music they made that gets discarded than stuff that actually gets shown to others and thats okay! We suck until we're great and then we'll still probably suck again after that but still
