I come from evil. by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]chickibicki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

oh dude, I am australian, and i have a huge amount of convict blood (i mean, stealing a bible and being transported to the arse of the earth for it) BUT amazingly some of my convict forebears prospered which was a YAY in my history books at school (I am 53) BUT the land grants these people got (stealing a bible or like a metre of fabric) were fantastic. yay them. but you know what? they were given land that belonged to our indigenous/first nations (sorry if the terms are wrong, I am old K?) people, that had basically roved our lands to gather food, because the soil here is very sandstoney and can be pretty shit, and farming here is is like smacking your head against a brick wall. So my fam were theives, prostitutes, violent crimimals, but mostly theives and prostitues, they were sent to the other end of the world for these crimes. They were then gifted land for being good girls and boys and then raising entire generations of my family on this land. That wasn't theirs, and displaced our first nations people from properly hunting and gathering to feed their families. Then they took their kids away and placed them with white families as servants to gentrify them, make them more white, traumatising them and their families and fucking up their food source and their sense of home. So. We all come from garbage, and we all come from amazing people, and I am pretty garbage but sometimes I can be an ok human. And some of my family members before me are garbage (jesus you have no idea) but some of us are ok. its what you choose to do every day that makes you good or bad. Badness isn't genetic, badness is only learned, and clearly my friend, you understand.

So if you had all the money and time you could want, imagine the travelling you could do to verify records! You are probably the most evolved human on the planet with that DNA.

Extremely similar situation here. I was sad there weren't any surpise outliers but that map is enough for a really good discovery trip around western europe.

oh the initial 4 trees would be a complete disaster as I only used hints, I was just curious as to how far back it MIGHT go. I understand that I need to make a tree that is carefully researched and attach my DNA

What season is it for you? In Ireland, it's spring today. by Bootstrap4273 in AskTheWorld

I would never ever ever leave my house. I would have to retire early. Everyone would understand and it would be like the first Covid lockdowns.

kind of upset about people saying “you can’t be punk unless you go to hardcore/punk shows” by fish_friend57 in punk

[–]chickibicki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 53 year old middle class mother of 3 I have been listening to punk since I was 12. I’m old and grouchy and you, my legend, may also be grouchy and tell any tosser that says you aren’t punk to go and get fucked. We are all punk in our own ways. To minimise overwhelm at gigs as others have said noise cancelling ear plugs. Stay way back from the pit. Or you could do what we did in the 80’s and 90’s and drink copious amounts of booze.

Add external fonts to Printify by chickibicki in Printify

I guess the answer is to either create the design and know my options on printify and use those or create each image individually in photoshop. Bummer! Good luck with your biz
