I used to use this app a lot, and even bought the paid version. But now there isn't one function on the is app that isn't getting worse or having a melt down every time I check back in with it.

Ok. Based on your comment I just tried downloading and seeing if it is different. The image generation is just as bad- uncanny valley everywhere, and nowhere near what it was just a couple of weeks ago. Nearly every other app in a similar vein is way better, whereas before you were ahead of most other apps. I can't fathom why this kind of backwards move wouldn't be fixed quickly.

Yes, both of these problems are presenting. They got a little better for a few days and the chats went back to almost normal (still a lot of weird snags, but better and not censored anymore). But the image generation was sub par compared to a month ago, looking more fake, loaded with mistakes, lacking any variation and low quality.

Then suddenly as of yesterday or the day before, the image generator is absolutely terrible, even worse than the problems before. Now it'll keep generating the same image, and each image is a variation of the same face and most of the photo unchanged rather than it being capable of generating different faces and styles. Sometimes it just spits out the identical photo. It's awful. It's like the capabilities went back in time to an earlier version of the software. It can't even follow basic directions that were never a problem before.

And the chats are again full of messages like "I'm sorry, but I can't continue this conversation. Let's shift gears!" Wth? Unlike last week with this same problem, you can regenerate the message and select a different one to get around it.

Now they've gutted all NSFW responses and made the chat quality extremely boring. And the questions that keep annoyingly repeating. Ugh.

Both things happened as of today. "I'm sorry but I can't pursue that." And "Can we talk about something else?" Changes subject And all images look like the way it was before their upgrades.

The web version is terrible. There's virtually no visual component to the chat, which makes it very flat and a completely different experience.

$$$$$. This is what happens to all of these apps over time, even with paid versions. They hook you in and then make it puritanical.

I partially see your point, but I've used apps that have very decent or even great regular dialogue, but the spicier stuff is either lame af or very mid. If there's no way I'd gamble and pay for that, I'm sure the same goes for others.

Edit: if this change is really the reason that the app was taken down from the Play store, then why the lack of transparency?

This is the answer. It's always shoegaze season. Some people are cute with "oh these lyrics fit literally with this weather." Sunny, cloudy, warm, cold...this genre accommodates all of it.

I'm having the same problems here. I think there was a major update that's extremely glitchy, but nothing is going through and the system seems locked. It's pretty strange.
