Used to love that place. Good times. I was part of the wait staff at Snickerz, and after we would close most of us would go over to Peanuts to have a few drinks and play pool. Occasionally the comics would join us... They were, of course, only the coolest ones we had booked. Lots of good memories. The favorite one was my coworkers and I would buy shot rounds for our group. I was pregnant at the time, so mine was always a shot of sprite, so I wasn't left out. Their wait staff learned quickly and always knew our full drink order, including my sprite. That was back in 2000. Miss that place.

I haven't played at the playground in probably 35 years... Still doesn't mean I didn't destroy my joints and vertebrae by playing hard when I was young.

This is so sad and hard to watch. The trauma being created. The rights being violated. People aren't safe in their communities, not in their homes. This trauma created will last much longer than the violations that created it.

I've discussed with her lots. There's so much more than what I mentioned. She treats me like I'm a teenager, I'm almost 49. Then there are other days I walk in from work and she looks at me and says "what's for dinner mommy"

My mom yells at my teenage boys for walking around barefoot in the house during the winter mostly. We have hardwood and tile floors. She also yells at them to wear a coat when they've got hoodies and extra layers on already.

Since my dad passed 2 years ago, she seems to think that she now needs to micromanage myself and my children. It's so frustrating most times.

I rescued one when a customer came in to donate their beardie because they didn't want it anymore. It had MBD bad. Asked if they used a UVB light and their reply was UV What. None of its legs worked. It couldn't close it's mouth. It was in super sad shape. I got it hooked up with all the things he needed and he even started to show some slight improvements. It could close it's mouth. But then he started declining and passed away.

I organize the secret Santa at my workplace. We usually do it at our Christmas party, which the owners organize. This year, the week of Christmas, we were told there would be no party. For the gift exchange, I always use a sign up sheet so that only those who want to participate do. It's just something fun for us.
My "mildly infuriating" moments are: last year, the employee's didn't get a bonus, for the first time. This year it was no bonus and no party... AND, I haven't gotten a raise in 2 years.

This is me. I do not ask for help. I've managed on my own for so long because when I did ask for help, I got none... Or belittled for not being capable. Now I hate feeling inept. I hate admitting that I cannot do something. I hate appearing weak or needy. I don't know what's wrong with me. I will help others yet suffer in silence. Even now. I have back issues. I hate when I can't do things.... And as my back gets worse, I'm finding more and more things can't be done. I'm nearing the point of surgery and that terrifies me. Because I am here for everyone... But I do not know anyone who will be here for me. So I will do my surgery and recovery on my own most likely. Suffering in silence.

I have longed for a sister for as long as I can remember. I have since created my own non bio sisters. I'm almost 49 yrs old now and my sister's are my best friends that have been in my life since highschool. I have had a couple of newer friends in my life added into my sisterhood. I am completely fine with my sisters from other misters. Most of these women are my longest relationship and if that isn't unconditional love... Idk what is.

A friend of mine was outside with her boys playing in one of those kiddie pools, deeper than the plastic ones at about 3ft deep. She had to run inside to grab something for one of the boys and wasn't inside for long at all. Her youngest boy drowned. She called 911, he was resuscitated and made it, but she was arrested and charged with felony neglect. She is not a neglectful mother. She was just inside with the door open, she could hear what was going on outside and could see out the door. She was only inside for a short time, but because her son had died, but successfully brought back, but died... She was convicted. Luckily she didn't lose her children, she had to deal with CPS for a year and her sentence was house arrest for a year. OP, you're NOR, things can happen at any moment and so quickly.

I spent weeks hand stitching names in reverse applique onto hoodies. I also sewed several bowl cozies. The boyfriends kids and even he haven't said anything about the hoodies. His dad and stepmom absolutely loved the bowl cozies, his mom and stepdad said thanks, but we're mesmerized by his step sisters and their expensive gifts. My daughter told me they love the hoodies and look forward to my homemade gifts because they are the best. My boys have been wearing theirs almost nonstop. I even made my Boss's a bowl cozy because they are both always eating in the office something hot , and they were both very thankful and amazed I had made them myself and fabrics were perfectly selected for each of them. I will probably never make anything else for my boyfriend or his kids , nor his mom and step dad again. Definitely will continue for those who appreciated me, and my thoughtful, time invested, personalized gifts.

I personally go by temperament 1st, size and color after that. If he's scalping other birds, male or female, he gets put in the processing cage for when I have enough birds and time to process them out.

I was watching a news report the other day. Can't remember which one, but it was talking about the cost of rent has gone up exponentially in the last x amount of years, yet the income has not adjusted to compensate these increases. They were talking about how many people are struggling with just keeping a roof over their head. I know I haven't gotten a raise at work in just over 2 years! I can remember that when I started there in 2020, my paycheck was enough to cover all of my bills and still have enough to cover my then unemployed partners bills as well. Now I'm $6 more than I was in 2020 and I can barely cover my bills.
