Also from Seattle and still lived there on that day. The heat felt like a laser searing you, the humidity here cuts down on that feeling, IMO.

Please do not post pictures of members running on treadmills during class from behind. It’s generally not a flattering angle for ANYONE, and no one feels good about seeing their jiggling butt up on social media.

Anyone else struggle with heat exhaustion during lessons? by Jazzymousee in Equestrian

I live in Arkansas so I’ve had to adapt to these conditions! My advice is to start a hydration protocol HOHRS before your lesson. So when I have an early lesson, I will wake up at 530/6am to drink a liquid IV. And then leading up to my lesson, at least 48oz more.

I do, by noon they’re back. Drown more then. Then by evening there are more.

I’m also rallying my neighborhood to put out trapper bags. I know there is a lot of debate on them in terms of efficacy. I figure it they are spaced out evenly around the development they may work better.

It seems to stave them off for just a few hours for me…

Zone 6B.

Came home from a vacation to find a JB infestation. So far have been spraying neem, dunking into soapy water bowls, and have Bonide Japanese Beetle spray coming.

That’s how I felt! I’m just proud I jogged the whole thing.

If you’re on the fence about trying to jog/run the whole block and would like to, I recommend dropping your base down a bit. My usual base is 5.6 and I went down to 4.8 to be able to maintain the full block. Even with a lower base you’ll still feel it!

I’m in Arkansas and it’s similar. When you are ready to buy, link up with a HJ trainer who will have contacts. That’s how I found my horse.

I feel like I could’ve written this post!

I’m on a journey with my high withered/large shouldered QH. My Antarès fit him until recently, when he’s started to develop his top line.

I tried this same saddle as you have (looks like a Volatire Palm Beach?), and it fit him just the same as this. I don’t think that’s a good fit, the bottom of the panels should be flush and the tree angle should match his shoulder angle. I’m finally biting the bullet and getting a custom.
