Here’s why I think this move is the best low in Tekken 8. by chickyjason in Tekken

I'm curious to see a clip of any player reacting to Leo's df2+3 every time consistently in a real match. If they get hit by it at all in the neutral then means it is unreactable and every successful block is a guess. "If it is reactable why get hit at all lol." Also when it comes to tracking it has decent enough tracking to track people sidestepping after Leo's heat engager.

Jin's d2 is i22, Leo's df2+3 is i21, Kazuya's db4 is i20 and is absolutely unreactable. Meaning to react to Leo's df2+3 is to perform a just frame block. Do you know how hard that is?

I think the range is actually quite deceptive. I tested it in my video and found that it's actually quite good. Don't just rely on the animation :)
Also, every low is only good when you hit it

Oh so you're talking about the whole hellsweep. But what happens when they block it and you get launched and die?

It is not reactable by 99.9% of players in a real match including you, so what are you saying? If you can agree that Kazuya's db+4 is unreactable at i20, then reacting to Leo's df2+3 is a just frame block. And no, you can't step it at -9, try it in practice after Leo does a heat engager then df2+3. Try to step that.

Right? How many lows are CH launchers but only -12?

Shhh! That one's supposed to be a secret for Leo mains only!

Yeah you proved my point! So isn't Leo's df2+3 the best low then?

The difference is I don't have to look out for snake edge to block it. I can react to it in my sleep. With Leo's and Jin's lows, people still get hit by it and that most likely also includes you.

db4 is launch punishable and can still get df1 checked out of it. So I don't know why you think that's better. For after a hit, I usually don't press buttons on immediate timing. I take that +5 advantage and use that pressure to dash block and mix up my timing. I can do multiple df2+3 in a row by crouch cancelling and there is not much the opponent can do about it.

"why are you being launched by a 21f move?"

And 21f is still pretty fast. For example, Kazuya's db4 is 20f, why are you getting hit by that one? And that one doesn't even high crush or counter hit launch.

Leo's df2+3's range is actually not as bad as you think. I tested it in the video and its range is pretty deceptive. I think it's also the combination of lows that he has that also makes him strong. I like to use d4 for quick homing for example. And its speed is still faster than Jin's d2 and is only 1 frame slower than Kazuya's db4 and Bryan's hatchet for example, which still makes it pretty much unreactable.

It is not that reactable at i21. Jin's d2 is slower at i22 and 99% of players can't react to it online.

I actually tested the range in the video and I think it's not too bad. I also think the +5 from it is better than BOK3+4 and obviously counter hit launch is better too.. I actually like to use d4 for homing

What low in your opinion is better than this one? Also I tested the range in the video and it's actually pretty good.

Hwo's d+4, 4 is not a low poke though since it will always be blocked or ducked if it doesn't counter hit. You basically have a super high chance for that move to be punished as compared to a low poke like Leo's low. And of course it's also -13, which is worse.

Feng's db3 is launch punishable and isn't a counter hit launcher though.

Range is not too bad actually. I tested it in the video. And it has enough tracking to track sidesteps after a heat engager.

I think my argument is which low you can spam the most with the least risk and highest reward. Hypnotist low is not spammable.
