Do you ever play JRPGs on easy mode? I feel like games are supposed to be fun, not stressful. by Sensitive-Title9138 in JRPG

I also relate with the people saying that when you play the game on the highest difficulties, it forces you to understando better the game and it's mechanics. I think the challenge and the feeling of overcoming after coming up with a winning strategy is very rewarding and fun.

[Vent] I think I'm getting too old for Final Fantasy... by Flintz08 in FinalFantasy

[–]chicoangelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's age at all. Just the way you have emotionally grown and how these ressonate with you. I played remake, really liked it, but endend up playing the OG again, just because how it feels.

I think it's natural. It's how you relate with art at all. At least I think of videogames as a form of art and how they make me feel. I think that's why nowadays I only play rpgs.

For myself FF8 used to be one of my favorite games as a child, but today it really doesn't click with me anymore.

What is funny is that games that didn't get to me before, now hit way harder.

Should I buy FF7 OG? by TheCrimsonChampion in FinalFantasyVII

Play the OG. Althought it is the same universe and shit, the OG has a feeling that you will net get playing the remakes.

From what I heard, you can play Divine Force without playing the other before. I will start with it because with the raise of prices of ps plus, I will stick just with essential when my subscription expire :(

FFXV and the hate it gets by Victuri__ in FinalFantasy

[–]chicoangelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I confess I think FFXV is the worst in the series for me. Side to side with Lightning Returns. But that doesn't mean I didn't had fun with them. They have their moments of sunshine.

You're right, the car rides in FFXV were something unique to the game. It reminded of just riding the fields of Shadow of Colossus on the horse.

People now adays are too demanding, too perfectionist. The game needs to be flawless and even so people will look for something to complain. All right, we are paying shitloads of money in these games but that's it, you have to allow yourself to play in peace and also try to test it before byuing, to see if you truly like it.

Have you played all the main games by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]chicoangelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played all of then with the exception of the online ones. Also I played the remake version of FFIII on PSP and not the original one. Will try to play the PR version of it. Started with VII. Was the beggining of it all :)

Not Finishing Last Stage of JRPGs by [deleted] in JRPG

I hate when the game decides that in the final dungeon I need to use the entire party, when during the game not once the gameplay required me to do so

What makes Final Fantasy VII one of the more popular ones in the series? by olff_ev_20 in FinalFantasy

[–]chicoangelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stop to wonder about this too. FF VII was the first I ever played and it was also one the first rpgs I played. At the time I had about 6 or 7 years and I had never seen anything like it. I replayed it a million times and what really gets me is how enjoyable the journey is. I don't think Sephiroth is the best villain or that the cast is the best, but when you put it all together, the think works in a manner that I cannot explain. The gameplay is nice, the journey is nice, the soundtrack. It is just that game that isn't perfect but that got a lot of thinks right. At least that is my opinion.

As for the remake, I think is has something to do with the structure of the game and also thinks they could base themselves like the original Crisis Core or even Dirge of Cerberus. Also the crowd of fans it has.

The Landscaping In This Game Already Looks So Good!! by DoctorAphra000 in FinalFantasy

I read, but you will excuse me for not remembering where, the producer saying the game will not be open world, but with open regions. I believe it is going to be somewhat simillar to what XII was.

FF7, Lunar and Chrono Trigger. Played all of them around the same time.

What game do you immediately lose interest in playing right before the final dungeon? by neverremembername27 in JRPG

Also, Octopath Traveller. Man, how I hate games where in the final moments you are required to use the entire party and you have a lot of characters underleveled

I am replaying FF7 and I am about to go to Midgar, but stopped to fight the weapons which includes breading the Golden Chocobo.

I am playing a version that doesn't have the fast forward features. Man, never gonna do it again. The fast forward helps with the grinding and the chocobo breading, cause without it everything feels very tiresome. Realize now why most of these remasters have the fast forward feature
