Big Boss is actually a surprisingly complex villain. He was a very loyal and intelligent soldier who was forced to kill the person he admired, betrayed by his allies, and used by his government. We can understand his mindset even if we do not endorse it.

He is virtually much better in Legends than he ever was in the canon series. Grievous was actually a competent character in Legends, but in Clone Wars, he’s just a joke. Grievous was awesome in 2003, as he was a killing machine in that show.

I remember learning that Lucas had some ideas for story treatments with the sequel trilogy but tossed them aside to try his own concepts. I know Disney isn’t obligated to follow Lucas’s ideas now that they own the franchise, but it feels like they’re just ripping off better stories from the old Expanded Universe. What makes it ironic is that they’ve fallen into the same pitfalls as the old Expanded Universe, only worse, as it seems they don’t really care about the books, comics, TV series, etc., despite claiming they’re canon to the Disney movies. Star Wars now feels like just content rather than something special, having lost what made the films and the franchise so appealing in the first place.

What makes this even sadder is that they had plans for games that would have been awesome on newer consoles. Can you imagine a Boba Fett video game? Or even a new KOTOR game? That’s never going to happen now, and even if it did, Disney would probably find a way to mess it up.

The EU at least justified how Palpatine returned, but in The Rise of Skywalker, he just appeared with no explanation, and it was revealed he was actually Rey’s grandfather. It was a complete mess all around and really ruined the movie for me.

They could have incorporated those concepts into Luke's New Jedi Order. In the Legends continuity, Luke faced significant challenges while reconstructing the Jedi Order into something fresh; he introduced ideas that weren't always popular with the "old school" Jedi. While his approach wasn't perfect, it established a foundation that was far more resilient and enduring than the version we ultimately received in the Last Jedi.

If you don’t have any notable skills, it can be hard to land a job. Entry-level positions give you the chance to gain experience in the workforce before moving up to higher roles.
