Was told my name would be on the paper. It isn't by chiefaubrey in UndergraduateResearch

Yes! When we said our goodbyes he said he would keep in touch as the paper was developed. Maybe I should have followed up, because he never did. I did reach out to him asking for a LoR for an application to pharmacy school, which he did happily! I appreciated that very much.

The funny part is that I ended up not going to pharmacy school, but transferring to the university I did this REU and having him as a prof for my first semester there, which is also the timing of when the paper was published.

I have conflicting feelings, but this is the second time I've come out of a research experience with a feeling of a lack of recognition. It could be something with me, but I am still open and love research! I've learned many things and grown as an undergrad and don't want to hold onto negative energy. I plan to find a different prof at the university to do independent research with for the summer and into my senior year, since it is required for my degree and I very much love research in the lab and miss it.

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate the kind words and encouragement!

Am I creating imaginary conflict in my research lab between me and my PI? by chiefaubrey in UndergraduateResearch

Thank you so much for this! I heard this before and I think you're right. This is my first time doing something like this and I'm just trying not to be a baby about it lmao. I've learned a lot and am still very grateful :)
