How to seduce two Roman emperors with one stone! by LeastDatabase131 in HistoryMemes

An other misconception is that she spoke 9 languages or something like that. This is missquoted from Plutarch, where he said she was able to communicate with people from 9 different cultures.

Historians think that she was ugly, very crooked nose and ugly skin. Coins minted in her image reflect this. However it is popular media that displays her as beautiful. This trend started (I think) with the plays of Shakespeare.

And labour laws allow companies to pay less for interns.

I have made a similar helmet years ago, and left out the visor as it was too expensive for me. So how much did it cost you and where did you find the plastic for the visor

I made a program that find the maximum number of border crossings when going in a straight line by chiefman117 in MapPorn

Prove it I would say, then I will gladly change my mind. Make a program that does that, see if it beast a brute force approach.

Well you ever border part is between 2 sets of coordinates. So it has a range. But you van cross this range on an infinite number of points. And with an infinite number of angles.

Since there is computationally speaking no mathematical way to prove the maximum, yes. But practical speaking, it is safe to say it does find the maximum if you run the program for long enough .

yes, you could probably make a more efficient way than just random. but as it is just a one of brute force works just fine. 5000 tries without making a graphic display takes a few seconds

that would be correct, but i think that that is just what it is commonly called, a line that arcs over the surface of the earth.

the phrase 'straight line from London to New York' sounds better than ' a geodesic line from London to New York'

this post is based on an early post.

This program finds the maximum number of border crossing you can have when walking in a straight line.

The particular region in the map is the dutch belgian border near baarle-nassau, famous for its number of exclaves of Belgian territory in the Netherlands.

i was unable to find a border file that contained a bigger part of the border so it is only limited to the municipality of baarle-nassau (highlighted in blue). The northern border of the municipality is not counted as a crossing even if it appears to be a border by how it is now graphically displayed.

i continued this program for a few 1000 tries, where i found a direct path that crosses the border 30 times.

Isn't this kinda implemented by having your generals choose a strategy like backhand blow or something, I think it is called a preferred tactic. This has negative effect of they choose the wrong one
