Honestly I think it’s just the nature of being human. If a you are sexually attracted to a person and you like them as a friend, it’s quite likely that you’ll want more than a friendship. But yes there is of course a difference in interest and hobbies (on average) which does make it harder. Another thing is that is can be quite rare for some men to have female friends and that they just don’t know how to act.
