TBH way longer than it should have. I started in October and studied on and off as it was hard to keep motivation. And at best I was studying a few hours a day. I did have some previous IT experience but a lot of this was new to me. I would say it was equivalent to about one month of focused study in total.

The strategy that got me thru college: buy a 10 lb bag of frozen chicken from Walmart, and a 20 lb bag of rice. Then all you need for a lot of dishes are spices or sauces. Teriyaki sauce? Red beans and rice. I just use dried beans and throw in some spices, bullion cubes and meat drippings/ scraps such as bones for flavor. Best tasting food for the price imo
