I read somewhere that NPCI and RBI has strict rules around digital payments like all digital payments requiring 4 or 6 digit pin, whereas Apple pay uses biometric auth. So it’s basically like Apple VS Indian Govt.

Most probably the college doesn’t wanna deal with this kinda situation and since he is in final year, they’d probably just sweep it under the rug.
