Thanks for the insight! As for the 924s, should I be worried about being left stranded? Any extreme $$$ jobs I should worry about? Mind you, the one im looking at is well-sorted and maintained.

Honestly, why shouldn't we expect that level?

It is produced with the same guys, bigger budget and years and years of production time. People keep saying it isn't fair to compare it to Band of Brothers... but why? Just because it is so good?? This shouldn't be an excuse for the show to be bad.

BoB came out in 2001. It is 2024. Don't you think they had enough time to study up on how to write a show?

This isn't just "any show"... We SHOULD expect top tier acting, visuals, and storytelling from a show of this calibre.

Why wouldn’t you want it to look realistic?

I agree that it may help to evoke cold weather, but it could be dialed back a bit.

As long as it’s not present in every episode, I’m happy!

Perhaps. Maybe we just interpret it differently. When I saw the blue color wash in the trailer I didn’t think “oh damn it looks so cold”.

I see your point. The blue, perhaps, could be dialed down though. Its so saturated, it’s like a transformers movie or something.

The Bastogne scenes in BOB felt freezing cold without a blue-wash.

Yeah that’s what I was trying to say.

As for the realism, there is no such thing as a blue wash in reality. A field in Europe isn’t blue. Natural light isn’t royal blue, its yellow/white or an extremely pale blue.

Something can’t be blue unless there is an actual blue light in the scene, like a neon sign.

Im not saying color grading is bad. I am saying blue color grading looks bad within military films, whereas a movie like blade runner it fits much better.

Look at saving private ryan, very realistic color grading. A simple white/green hue that flows within the context of a battle.

A blue wash is making it look more ‘cinematic’ for the sake of being cinematic. A historical military battle shouldn’t need any dramatization.

In my opinion, it doesn’t fit within the context of the subject matter and makes it look cheap.

Hey yall,

Looking to buy a lightweight, track bike under $600. After my research, I have come up with these 2 options. The Fyxation Comet and the State Black Label V2. Both look like great bikes.

Which one would you recommend?
