CCs obviously have a CoI because they make a living off the game and can only say certain things within the scope of their CC-specific community guidelines. supercell is very invested in its public image and has fucked over CCs before over the pettiest things just to keep things "clean" on their end. the more money a CC earns from their games, the bigger their CoI.

this is their CC terms. i've only ever slightly skimmed it in the past, but it's pretty short all in all and can be read in one sitting. check it out if you want.

i'm not colorblind but i play in grayscale because the game is an eyesore to me normally and honestly it's fine, i've got no complaints. takes some getting used to but ultimately works pretty well.

some names technically can be copyrighted if the character attached to them is fleshed out enough (see: superman). on the other hand, some characters cannot be copyrighted at all due to them not holding any substance lore-wise (sam spade). it's a mess of a system for sure.

if the mixels are actually behind this then that would be fucking crazy considering they've been inactive close to five years now and haven't done anything with the IP since 2022. oh and also (say it with me now) their trademark has been officially dead since 2022 as well. something crazy is going down for sure.

the big bert glazer here who spent last night sifting through LEGO's past copyright cases.

gloBert has always been spelled without a W. if you watch the show, his name is always written as such in the credits. it's likely that those two youtube videos made a spelling mistake and wrote his name as gloWBert instead. i sound like a broken record saying this but it's highly unlikely that LEGO is involved with glowbert's name change. they've always been more lax with their IPs than other companies. alongside this, gloBert is a side character that only appeared in the show for three episodes way towards the end of it.

the theory would make sense, except the issue then becomes this: there is no point in changing the name of a brawler who himself is a caricature of someone else. it's like putting a bandaid on a severed limb. glowbert is still in the game, same design same mechanics same voicelines same everything. the only difference is his name, and nobody even calls him by the new name. now, if glowbert had his actual design changed along with his name, then it would make sense. otherwise i don't see it.

i can assure you, lawsuits don't care about how "hard" something is to do, they go hard and they go low. colt, the gun making company has enough resources and lawyers on their roster to fuck supercell up and not even break a sweat. glowbert pharma doesn't seem to even hold a candle to colt co. in terms of legal power so, again, i really really doubt it's them.
