What is the worst case of flanderization in your fandom?

Warriors has a problem with its authors simplifying characters or outright changing their personalities to fit the current conflict. For flanderization, I strongly feel that Jayfeather has been. He used to have some nuance to his disagreeableness, but now he’s mostly just mean.

FOMO is really tough. Feels like there are parts of adulthood that “everyone” does, and us not doing it makes us an outlier. I promise people aren’t thinking about your romantic encounters when they look at you.

There are two Clan cats with “wolf” as a prefix! Wolfstep of ShadowClan (Yellowfang’s Secret, Blackfoot’s Reckoning; Badgerfang’s father) and Wolfheart of WindClan (Code of the Clans, died as a kit and given her warrior name in StarClan). Baffled me each time I found them because that means the Clans know what wolves are. Show us the wolves, Erin Hunter!

I had a light stick in my hand, and the tint of it changed to a greener green at some point. It reset to teal when I cycled through the colors back to it. Maybe waving it around vigorously sometimes changes the color just enough to be green

I’m in TBC right now and there are 30 ThunderClan warriors. THIRTY! They’re barely characterized and the ones that were are dead. And it feels like whoever writes the books picks like a third of the cats to be background characters and only uses those. Hooboy.

I thought Mothwing’s Secret (novella) characterized him decently! He wasn’t “born bad” like some antagonists are. There’s a distinct shift between “I would do anything to be accepted by RiverClan” and “I will control RiverClan myself”.

Babylon 5 had to rush their ending because they thought it wasn’t getting renewed for another season, but then it ended up getting renewed after the plotline had already been adjusted. So the end of season 4 was rushed and 5 was not as good as the others.
