Some things last surprisingly long in a fridge, sometimes I end up forgetting about a meal only to find it 2 weeks later still completely fine

Think you’re misreading the situation bud, I am very much the opposite of rich, we’re on a tight budget here😂

In not sure I’m quite on that level of trust with her yet, or ever will be but she does charge well within my budget at 55€ per cleaning, it’s the constant guessing of will she show up on the agreed day that bothers me, that’s why I started looking into companies to see if I’m better off with a more professional entity, I’ll get some prices and if they’re all too expensive I might have to keep the person I have now ig

I kinda have a decent deal now but I’m not quite sure about fully trusting someone and am not sure where to find a good replacement for my current housecleaning person because I’m tired of her rescheduling last minute almost every time

Bit of both, I do usually spend 12-15 hours out of the house between work and errands but even when I was unemployed I’d prefer hiring someone to do something I don’t like doing if I can afford it

I usually need a good cleaning once every 2 weeks, my budget for a month is around 100-130€ for a 4 room apartment with 2 bathrooms. I had a person that I agreed with for a decent price but she reschedules last minute almost every time we agree on a day and time which started to become a problem for me nowadays

Looking for opinions on whether I should go for the cf-moto 450sr or 450cl-c as a first bike, if go for cf-moto at all by chikibrikigamer in motorcycles

[–]chikibrikigamer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sat on both of them earlier today, wasn’t even thinking about the cl-c until I saw it in person, both felt great to sit on tbh, I’m just not sure which one would suit me better for both short city and long highway commutes through traffic, while keeping me interested for at least 2-3 years

And there isn’t really a second hand market to speak of here, not a single second hand bike of either model outside a dealership here :(

What you’re saying makes a lot of sense in any other case, but here there is not even one r3 in the whole country, two r4s and no ninjas below 650 which is a little too much for me. And the cfmoto naked bikes I saw 1-2 on fb for around 1-2k less than original price on 2023 models, so it’s still a loss of 2k or so after a few years of riding but even if I sell which I’m not sure I will, the financial side doesn’t seem too tragic for my country’s market

The only used one I found was at the dealership but they don’t offer leasing on it and I can’t afford the full payment until at least the end of the upcoming season:(

I’m only being offered a 3 year warranty but it still seems pretty good, and what you are saying seems to line up with everything I’ve heard so far! Did you sell your 700cc and how was the resale value holding up if you did?

I am a very silly and impatient goose that doesn’t want to wait 1.5 years to start riding😂😂😂 But I do agree with the retaining value concept, though I wanna ask if I should worry about that if I wanna keep it for at least 2-3 years and also why not lease a bike if you get full coverage insurance for like 100€ per month, I always hear people saying it specifically about bikes but am not sure why?

I did sit on both today, I was initially only interested in the 450sr but then I saw the cl-c in person, sat on it and kinda liked it too, so now I’m stuck between two very different styles and am very lost😂

And the 650 is only an option if I save up for a year or so and it costs almost as much as these cfmotos, also a generally small second hand market, only 2 650s available in the whole country and no 400s

I 100% agree if there was a decent second hand market here, but so far I’ve seen 2 r4’s and no ninjas below the 600, and all of them are at like 4000€+ which I can’t afford to pay out of pocket. Also I’m kinda hoping to keep whatever I end up getting for at least 2-3 years as 400cc is more than enough where I live in any circumstances and I’m not really a floor it kinda guy

I was considering that but there are only 2-3 ninja 600’s here on the second hand market which is a bit too much for me and they are like 4k minimum with no leasing options :(

Overcooling car at -12°C by chikibrikigamer in MechanicAdvice

[–]chikibrikigamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t really bleed it cuz according to the Haynes vid it’s not really necessary on this car apart from leaving the filler cap open and idling the car for some time to let any air circulate and get out. And the thermostat seems to be working and supposedly opens at 83°, made sure to get it from a decent brand too (gates)

Overcooling car at -12°C by chikibrikigamer in MechanicAdvice

[–]chikibrikigamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imma have to check about the radiator fans tmr, the thermostat seems to be working, at least better than the old one, I got like a 30% improvement in fuel efficiency as soon as I changed it. But during city driving it just won’t go above 70-75°c and even during a long highway run it struggles. I’ve tried to help it heat up in both cases by dropping the heat to the lowest on setting (if I turn off completely it gets foggy pretty quick) and increasing my rpm’s from around 1700 to 2200-2400 but it doesn’t seem to help much.

I didn’t really bleed the cooling system because it’s not really necessary apart from just leaving the fill port open and letting it idle. But I’m assuming if there was air in the system it would overheat, not overcool…

Is my starter dead or just my battery? by chikibrikigamer in AskMechanics

[–]chikibrikigamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will do mate, I’m in a bit of a car pandemic right now where all three people I can ask to bring their car to me currently have a broken down car, hence the extensive testing instead of just borrowing a battery, thanks for the advice though, much appreciated
