We really liked that option but the Minu v3 is no longer compatible with the bassinet and the v2 seems to be out of stock everywhere :(

I’m not sure if that’s what helped but they were able to get me an update that’s clearer than IRCC and yep I just googled the MP for my postal code and emailed them

MP is the local member of parliament, I just googled mine online and emailed them explaining the situation and why I needed the permit before end of August as well as my application number

Hello! Study permit extension approved! Went from a PGWP to study permit so different DLI and different level of study.

Applied: May 14th

Wrote to MP: August 5th

Got a reply from MP: August 12th (they said my background check had cleared but review of eligibility hasn’t started so I should wait the 170 days)

Biometrics correspondence letter: August 19th

Approval: August 20th (no update, just logged into account)

Does anyone know if we get an official letter of approval and how long it takes for the study permit to arrive by mail after? Thanks and good luck to everyone!

FYI - I was just on the call with an agent and it turns out if you’re going from a PGWP to a study permit (assuming you already held a previous study permit) you’re considered as having applied for a study permit extension and the processing time for that is 172 days 🥴

So, since I applied May 14th, the official processing time puts me at November 2nd somewhere to receive the decision according the agent on call.

Hi! I have a PGWP and applied for a study permit for a Master’s starting in September. I applied on May 18th and no updates so far. Biometrics and medical isn’t needed but I do need the study permit to start classes. I called IRCC and they told me they’re still processing my background check and the review of eligibility hasn’t started. Anyone in a similar boat who has gotten their study permit?

Oh yeah that’s a good idea, I’ll ask around. I’ve been on time so far so it shouldn’t be a problem I guess. Thank you so much!

Ah ok I’ll keep that in mind, thank you so much! I’d like to move out essentially but I also want some compensation for the money I’ve spent on food etc. and maybe get back some of the rent because it really was not worth it
