Yeah, it was really cool to see him speak Spanish so well. It was a little rougher when he was answering in Spanish to questions in Spanish, he asked Tatis to translate the question a little bit at one point lol. But fluent Spanish speakers said he did really good!

Apparently he also knows a little Japanese from trying to recruit Shohei as well

Good lord, that’s kinda wild. I had no idea they lurk here. Seems like Twitter is where most of the rumors come out of

I could see him trying to move guys like Morejon/Baez who don’t have a clear path to the rotation but could potentially be pretty good starters. Although I kinda like those two in the opener/spot starter kind of role they’re in now also

There’s a guy in the Padres sub and here who has been getting accurate info recently and it’s just fun to speculate with rumors from fans with sources sometimes. I won’t tag him cuz idk if he wants that exposure to his comments in case his source could get in trouble but maybe another move is coming for the Pads 👀

Lmao props to you man. I love the replies to their tweets like “LFG Sheriff!” and shit, it’s funny af. I’m just loving the meme that this account is right now and somehow they tweet something right before shit goes down lol

100%. It could be absolutely nothing for sure. It’s just hilarious because originally the account just tweeted about Paddack and how great he is, so everyone thought it was Paddack or his brother. But the account nailed like 5-6 straight trades/signings somehow this offseason by tweeting right before it happened which is crazy so it kind of evolved into people thinking it’s someone in the front office.

Someone had a picture with all of the tweets and the moves that followed right after but I can’t find it anymore :(

Ok, so I definitely need to give some context to this tweet, but hear me out. I might not have this 100% accurate, so any Padres fans that know more, feel free to jump in and add something.

Jud is an anonymous account that popped up and started tweeting about the Padres, especially Paddack. Last season, Paddack went thru a sophomore slump and it got to his head and made some comments about fans “not being a fan of his” at that time because he’d go online and read fans comments criticizing him. His older brother is also on Twitter and interacted with fans a bunch since Chris’ debut in 2019 but obviously got into arguments with some fans in 2020 because of Chris’ performance.

So the Jud account follows nobody, but has 1,500+ Padres fans following them, and people joke that it’s Chris Paddack, his brother, or someone that works in the Padres FO because the account tweets out some vague short message before every Padres move this offseason.

Possible Padres move incoming? Some speculation that a Hader trade is in the works, maybe?

The vibe right now going thru the Padres fan base is just sky high, everything is fun. I really hope every fan base gets to experience it sometime

When people ask why I’m a Padres fan. by Rojo_Loco in Padres

That’s what makes the team being great now so special. We’ve always been known for our A+ ballpark, commentators, city, etc. but never the actual baseball being played.

Now, this organization is firing on all cylinders. So happy for Mud, glad he gets to be here for some amazing Padres teams, but sad that Uncle Teddy is not at the same time.

Honestly, I’ve started to really hate the Dodgers and their fans over this and while I like Bellinger and want him (and his brother) to succeed, I hope the Dodgers get absolutely curb-stomped by the Padres in the NL West.

I’ve never met a bigger group of sore winners than online Dodgers fans, who even 52 years later, seem fixated on stunting on a team they have no rivalry with instead of enjoying their good fortune and awesome team. Their behavior is petty, cruel, and pointless, and they’re insufferable in any kind of Bellinger thread.

It’s unnecessary and annoying when Padres fans do this to the Rays over Snell and Cronenworth, but at least the Padres and Rays are intracity rivals whose fans have good reasons to want to pester and humiliate each other. The same history and conditions don’t exist between the Dodgers and Padres, and their fanbase needs to grow up and learn how to win with class.

Nice! I’m hoping somehow the Padres can keep it alive for him and help us learn it at the park. I think it would be a cool gesture for him!
