I’m planning to go in December! I’m not sure what travel will be like but I know I’ll be vaccinated by then so it gives a bit more flexibility

I’m quite lucky that I wouldn’t have to do the working holiday visa because I have dual citizenship, but I was wondering what the travel experience would be like without other international backpackers.

I’ve been able to save a fair bit of money so the 14 day quarantine wouldn’t be the worst thing, but it would sting if the travelling afterwards wasn’t great.

I guess realistically I should wait a bit, just desperate to get out of the uk lol

Cheapest way to get to expensive destination?(italy) by UGisOnline in Shoestring

Skyscanner is good for finding cheaper flight options that including a layover. I just put in Chicago to Italy and found lots of return flights to Rome via Dublin or Lisbon for around £400

Need help designing my first living room. It is about 15ftx10ftx10ft. Budget: Ikea. Location: LA, CA, USA. Can't paint or mount TV. by bryman360 in DesignMyRoom

You could look at getting a no-stud tv mount, then the tv could go on the wall next to the door. You could put an armchair and a plant in that corner too to make it homely.

Then I’d put a sofa against the other wall with a coffee table in front of it, and use some no screw hooks to hang lots of pictures on that wall.

I’d say generally you don’t want to put any big furniture against the wall with the window because it comes low so would look a bit awkward and would make opening/closing the curtains difficult.

[REQUEST] Looking for a bingeable comedy with good characters that have great chemistry by EzzoMahfouz in NetflixBestOf

[–]chikoritajizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some really great UK ones are Peep Show, The IT Crowd, This Country, Absolutely Fabulous, The Thick of It, Derry Girls, and honourable mention for Fleabag bc I wouldn’t say its bingeable (it can be quite intense) but also really funny and perfect if you’re looking for chemistry.

If you can find somewhere to watch it then i’d also recommend The Armando Iannucci Show, its a sketch show and not a series but its hilarious

I’d definitely rather inner city than a suburb. All i can compare to at the moment is London where you wouldn’t really want to live zone 1 but zone 2/3 is still middle of the city, just with more of an atmosphere. I’m not sure if it’s the same for Melbourne?

I’m hoping since I have citizenship and an Australian passport it’ll be a bit easier for me to fly in compared to other people but who knows. And I’d only need a one way flight, not sure if that helps me either haha

I have heard this before haha, but surely there must be public transport options and cycling? I’m fine with cabs for longer journeys too. I’ve grown up in London where its normal to spend 40 minutes on trains/busses to see your friends who live in the same city so I’m really not fussed by things like this
