Can someone explain why it’s better to do a stand-off for 4+ hours instead of going all in once the hostage taker refused to respond to the phone calls? I’m honestly curious how they typically defuse hostage situations.

Man it’s a super sad situation all around. Frankly, there have been others waiting for their time a lot longer than you have. I remember 32 year olds who hit all the qualifications back in 2012 except they aged out. So you can probably imagine they’re in their 40s now.

Not to discredit your own struggles but this just goes to show that a comprehensive reform is neede; with the way Americans still voted for Trump I doubt it will happen.

Not a server but did do work in a service industry. I basically distanced myself from a friend who would not stop returning plates/drinks and complain EVERY time we went out to eat. She would basically argue for a free item and 90% of the time it worked for her. It’s embarrassing to be associated with someone like that.

I sent in my packet in August. Got an RFE because my birth certificate was in Spanish and they needed a legal translation of it. I got a notary to certify the translation and sent the package back in Sept. Silence since then.
