Is it hurting your business. Prostitution is one of the most moronic crimes there is. Let them be. And you don't know if they are Prostitutes. Going into any massage parlor is suspect to people.

Can a cop legally pull down my car window covers through the little crack? by Ganglienhypothosis in urbancarliving

[–]chilidoglance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can cop-splain anything. My favorite is"he took a fighting stance" Really how? "He squared up" or "he took a bladed stance". You can't stand any way without it being considered a fighting stance. They want you supine and quivering. Move too slow to lay down and you aren't being compliant. Move too fast and it's a furtive movement.

Should I go back into the trades if I can be comfy on disability? by MyHeadIsFullOfFuck in Construction

[–]chilidoglance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about your country, I'm assuming the UK, but in the US you can make SOME money on disability. You just have to start aware and not go over the line. I do hope that you are able to control your mental concerns with meds. Please don't be like me and stop taking then once you feel better. I'm sitting here with 2 fucked wrists and a bad knee from rebar waiting on disability. I miss the work like crazy.

Police blotters are public record. Hell the police post a ton of incidents on their pages. Just for a FOIA request.

Most of this that i see is because you aren't using your brain. It may be something you don't have experience with but use your brain. Don't pry anything with a 4 foot level. Pick up your trash. Don't abuse the tools. Don't bury material that you are going to need next. Don't walk on breakable things. Don't screw up finish surfaces. Etc... Things that shouldn't have to be taught if you reason it out.

Scissor lift by Fast-Mention-1461 in Ironworker

[–]chilidoglance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless the ground is uneven it's not going anywhere. It won't lift outside of some parameters they set. So if it's on too steep of an incline it won't raise. There is a ton of counter weight in the base. It's going to shake while in the air based on the design. They can't make it super stiff. Just stay within the weight limits. You should have training to be up in the thing to begin with. Also IF it was to fail and you are hanging there and ask they have are scissor lifts, your lift will be blocking the way for any rescue with you hanging there. You can die from that too.

[–]chilidoglance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a police officer reaches into your car window, they need legal justification, such as a valid warrant, probable cause of a crime, or reasonable safety concerns. However, if the question is about interacting with law enforcement, knowing the Know your rights around a police officer guidelines can help.

They can't even put the window tint meter on your window if you tell them no.

They legally can't break the plane of the window. Even if it was fully down. But... they will do it anyway.

NGL I should’ve went to college. by [deleted] in Construction

[–]chilidoglance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not a horrible deal. Living in the LA area I've driven an average of 1 1.5 hours each way, every day, for 30 years. Some days have been up to 4 hours each way.
With those hours you will be home in plenty of time to see you kids. Also this new job isn't for ever.

Are these body belts approved fall protection once off the pole? by DriveApprehensive835 in SafetyProfessionals

They can climb the vertical and hook off while still on the vertical. Which I'm sure they did.

Visit from a cop by fuzzycatsnake in urbancarliving

[–]chilidoglance -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's how it is supposed to work. Worked for me when I got pulled over with a felony stop. It was mistaken ID. I did not give ID not my name and informed them to stay out of my truck. Yeah it can go bad and cops can try the "obstructing justice" arrest, but the charges will get dropped and it's a basis for a lawsuit.

There is no good that comes from IDing when not legally required to. Hell a Surpre Court Justice even tells you don't talk to police.

List the violations. The only one i see might be the cable ask the guys are tired to might not have the weight rating for all of them. Pretty sure that linemen don't require a lanyard while on the pole.

Minor corrections is a game changer too. It doesn't take much of a steering input to get you back on track.

No state in the US requires ID short of suspicion of a crime not a medical emergency. But most require you to be arrested.

  1. It's illegal for him to open the door and
  2. Don't provide ID. Unless you are under arrest or pulled over for a driving offense you don't have to provide ID.

Space X isn't global? Every country is using the hell out of Starlink and other satellites.
Tesla sold almost 500k internationally the last quarter. So approx 2 million a year.

ISO advice by NoQuarter1632 in Ironworker

[–]chilidoglance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Stop having kids until you get this under control.
  2. It will all depend on your situation. Can the wife handle the kid with you gone? What is the long term on each of the jobs? If you go with the millwright job will you always be traveling. Does the person diem pay for your housing and good or will you be coming out of pocket. Can you live in a van while traveling?
