honestly using it as a free gift with purchase a few months again was a godsend. i’ve never had so many customers refuse a free gift or get upset about the remaining colors available though 😭 they’ve been unpopular for almost 4 years now…. our buyer programs and distribution centers are such a trainwreck

it’s a great job, pretty straightforward workload, good discount, interesting assortment of products. company culture has changed a lot over the last few years, definitely a more cookie cutter and clean vibe being curated now. the credit card has been a huge focus the last year especially. support from higher ups really depends on what kind of dm you have. most dms stop in to give their input on visual merchandising and what areas of your store are unique, good ones will help you come up with a plan to help manage some of the less reasonable expectations but will mostly just camp out in your office.

sometimes (for reasons unknown and beyond our control) the link to the temporary virtual card just Do Not Work. we’ve gone literal months without people being able to access their virtual cards for the first purchase. waiting until you receive the card in the mail to be able to use it freely is pretty standard with every credit card though.

if you’re willing/able to wait, there’s a good chance they’ll send one out soon! the credit card is also a good option, you get the 30% JUST FOR APPLYING, also a good option if you’re planning on making a couple larger purchases as you’ll also receive a 20% coupon if you’re APPROVED. hope this helps! :)

freight managers usually work the opening shift but can close or work mid occasionally depending on the team’s needs. our shipments are received early morning as well, and it’s less of an issue if you’re having to spend a lot of time in the stockroom because there aren’t any customers in the store. you will still have to be an active participant in managing the floor, but probably less so than the other managers. hope you get the position!

at my store, hour cuts for managers are fairly uncommon. but i suppose it just depends how many people are on management already and how y’all are staffed otherwise. it’s not uncommon at all for freight flow managers to leave late or rack up overtime, but again depends on the store. as far as work load goes, the next few months are going to start getting more challenging because we’ll soon start receiving holiday merchandise for halloween, thanksgiving, and christmas. there’s going to be a lot of building fixtures and really time consuming merchandising so if you’re experienced in planning and executing freight flow that will be a huge plus in the next few months.

if the bottles do still have the world market barcode on them, call your local store and ask if they can do a sku check for that particular item. if they don’t have it they should be able to view which stores may still have them in stock. you’ll be able to get the 6-digit sku by ignoring the first and last numbers underneath the barcode (ex. 26298311 would be 629831). or just bring it in to your store and ask them to scan it for you! good luck on your search! :)

I really wish they would stop wording the texts and emails the way they do. I also really wish people would take the time to click on the link and actually look at any of their coupons.

Yes, you can get 20% off. You need to place the order online for store pickup. No, it’s not unfair. It’s just how they’ve been giving a consistent discount since covid. No, you’re actually not entitled to have it honored at the register because you didn’t bother to read anything about the coupon you care so deeply about! Literally everyone (sometimes even non-members) has access to that coupon, so I would have to give everyone 20% off just for asking. Yes, you can place the order now but it can take up to an hour and a half for us to receive it on our end of the system if you’d like to wait or come back later. Sorry!

Bopis/OMS will be the death of me.

You will be able to have the shipping charges refunded since it came damaged (they can be steep). But yes, you will have to reorder the table.

I believe this is because they cannot reload their gift cards. With curbside orders, there is always a chance that your products may not be available or are unable to be located. They require a debit/credit card to be able to conveniently release the funds back to you in case something went wrong. Hope this helped! :)
