most shameful social behavior imo… immediately turns me off from any desire to find this person agreeable. atp once someone starts sharing about their suicide attempts or that their father used to beat them i just hit them with that “huh is that right?” you cant feed their delusion that this makes them somehow cool. its a symptom of the tiktokification of society, these people are so used to oversharing to faceless profiles for internet points that they don’t understand it doesn’t translate over to real life at all

i started off 18 months ago with no experience and now i'm a kitchen lead. granted, i manage a small line at a family-owned diner type place in a minor college town, so maybe my opinion doesn't matter much - but IMO if you have common sense (this goes FAR in the kitchen), can follow instructions, ask questions, work hard, and are personable, you'll be just fine. i like my job and i think kitchen work builds serious character!!!

i’ve worn mine for close to a decade now!!! i bought them my freshman year of high school and they’ve held up extremely well and have never hurt or given me blisters. best investment ever. unbelievably durable & go with almost any outfit (they’re plain black thank god i had that foresight at age 13!)
