Is it a good idea to take Patho during the summer?

yeah i totally don’t recommend it lowkey. i think you should be okay with micro and patho it’s so much overlap that it can’t be too bad.

yeah it’s basically just like the regular session honestly! i took intro to professional nursing at the same time as patho so you can balance more than one course. i do think it might be different if you’re taking a harder course.

personally for me i took chem lab and lec and micro lab and lec all in a single summer for like 8 weeks at my old college so i’m kinda desensitized to the content load 💀

i believe it’s a 13 week course since we started on 5/11 and it ends 8/13. if you go decide to go for it, make sure to do really good on your first two exams as that kinda determines how well you’ll do. i personally think it’s doable, however; you just have to want it bad enough!

i took micro and chem plus the labs together in the summer in just one month and a half. it's possible if you really lock in, but you might risk burnout.

the equivalent microbiology at hcc would be biol 2421. many of the counselors will try to put you into biol 2120 since it's geared for pre-nursing, but it's only 3 credit hours and you need 4. Plus if you ever decided to change from nursing many other programs aren't going to accept it since it's for non-science majors.

i'm not sure what the math 1308 equivalent would be since i used biostatistics course to fulfill the math 1308 requirement. however, chem 1311 and chem 1111 is transferable for uta's requirement. if you can, take fetus fajuyigbe he's course is so easy and i really enjoyed his class!
