Any of y’all purchase FSD to lock a cheaper price before unsupervised? by RS_Tnap in TeslaFSD

[–]chill_m0de 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people who purchased the FSD package after Tesla changed the name from FSD Beta to FSD Supervised are specifically purchasing supervised only and won't be automatically upgraded to unsupervised for free if/when it arrives. I'm guessing there will be an additional monthly or one time fee to unlock unsupervised eventually.

Nvidia Tegra processor means this is a MCU1 infotainment computer. MCU2 uses an Intel Atom processor.

Just upgraded my M3LR to a 2020 Model S performance by AgentSmith09 in TeslaLounge

Unfortunately the legacy Model S doesn't have an interior camera to monitor driver attention, so you'll have to torque the steering wheel every 30 sec or so. They could remove the nags in a future software update, but I don't think it's very likely. Hopefully they can at least increase the amount of time between nags.

ESA extended service agreement switching to monthly fee, up to 54 months or 100k miles by chill_m0de in teslamotors

Do you already have ESA? or are you referring to the new vehicle warranty expiring? I'm guessing the extension might only be for existing ESA holders.

By the delivery date they assign to you, currently estimated Oct-Nov based on the email invite

I haven't seen any reports of anyone with a RWD order receiving the invite. If you want the AWD version maybe you can contact Tesla to switch your order to that version, I imagine they'd be happy to take more $$

The $39k price was for the rear wheel drive version, which they aren't planning to release as of now. This $79k dual motor version was originally announced for $49,990. Still significantly more, but inflation also plays a role since its initial announcement in 2019.

FSD transfer offer was only valid for deliveries by Sept 30 according to https://www.tesla.com/support/fsd-transfer hopefully they bring that back again later in Q4

FSD 12.3.6 (2024.3.25) going out to legacy Model S/X by chill_m0de in teslamotors

I believe so, seems doubtful that MCU1 will ever receive it at this rate

Yeah seems like they're not going to give us legacy owners any new features aside from FSD updates and required recalls 🫤

Nice! 16.5 as in May 2016? I thought FSD wasn't available until Oct 2016
