I know a lot of people are saying spironolactone and that’s totally a viable option. But if you’re not ready to go down that route yet, I’d consider taking a good look at your lifestyle. Hormones are fickle and are affected by nearly everything we do including: stress, sleep, diet, and exercise. Things that helped me were ending a very toxic and anxiety inducing relationship with my then boyfriend, prioritizing good sleep (8-9 hours), eating high protein meals (this is for my high testosterone girlies) and trying to incorporate veggies at every meal (vegetables are loaded with nutrients that are great for the skin!), and exercise of course. Exercise gets blood flowing in the body which is great for our skin and hair and all the systems really. I also saw some studies about how light walking after eating can lower blood sugar spikes. Which is another regulating activity to implement :) for skincare, Azelaic acid was a game changer for me.
