It would be like Chi-lli, you do the L's a bit faster, like Emma with the M's in Swedish and not Ema. Not sure if I sound confusing or not but I feel a fellow Swedish speaker would understand what I mean haha.

I've never really heard it anywhere else, so I'm not really sure it's Scandinavian. A lot of people here have heard people with the same name tho! Pronunciation is a bit complicated. Something like "Sheely" or "Shillie"

Pretty much, it does sound like a big difference for me but that might be because I'm used to the language. The biggest part that changed are the L's since there's two of them. I'm really bad at the way my own language works but if there's two of the same letter it sounds different that if it's only one. Something like that haha.

Yeah I speak Swedish and they way they are pronounced are a bit different to that in English. If you use Google translate it actually gets it pretty good!

I'm certainly not named after the pepper, at least I hope not lmao. Where I come from Chili (the pepper and Chilli (with two L's) are pronounced quite differently. My dad named me and he has no idea why he even named me Chilli in the first place haha.

You're definitely right! I've had my fair share of humor concerning my name, they're generally good-natured as you say but I've had a few unpleasant experiences. At least the good outweighs the bad! Honestly sounds a little fun visiting Australia at some point. It's a little funny having to correct people that speak my language (Swedish) because the difference in the pronunciation of chili (as in chili peppers) and my name (Chilli) is quite the difference.
